Relationships are a major source of stress for humans. Some find ways to avoid it and some can't seem to escape. These podcasts provide scriptural answers to relationship questions. Relationship between God and man, husband and wife, parents and children, friends, neighbors etc. Also you'd find the role our minds play in building healthy relationships with the people around us. We can create a better world if we learn to train our minds in the way it should go.

Where Did We All Go Wrong?

Scriptures is a Book of Relationships. From the first verse to the last, there is a continuing story of the unfolding relationship between God and His Creation, God and Mankind as a special creature, man and his fellow man, man and other creatures. Each Book has three participants--the Holy Spirit, the author and the original recipients. The Holy Spirit guided men to write down  the mind of God, the mess man has made, and the way out of this mess.

Ecclesiastes 7.29 explains that we were properly made but we have sought out our own ways. Betrayal, Infidelity, Selfishness, Loneliness, Criminal acts, Revenge, Unforgiving spirit, Terrorism, Wars, Racism, Genocide, Homicide, Suicide are some of the terrible outcomes of the schemes humans have devised.

To fix the problem, we need to identify the source of the problem. Instead of treating symptoms, we need to treat the disease. Knowing where we all went wrong is the way to do that. Then, we can begin to explore the implications of following the propositions that God present to us in His Word.

What are these propositions?

1. That we enjoy good communion with him and look like Him since He made us in His own image.

2. That our interpersonal relationships derive its meaning from our relationship with Him

3. That we express His love as we experience it to all men irrespective of race, gender, or their relationship with us.

4. That we pursue justice, equity and selflessness in all our dealings.

What do we need to do?

Debug our relationship software to identify all the loopholes in it. Some common loopholes include lack of vulnerability, poor emotional intelligence, selfishness in stealth mode, poor mind management model.

We'll explore all these in greater detail subsequently.

Thanks,

Daniel Jimi
