Rediscovering Latinidad is made with love and dedication to the art of family history. Too often the search for family history can seem Eurocentric and inefficient for those identifying as Latiné, LatinX, and anywhere in between. Let’s share our stories, our resources, and discuss why this all matters. In the search for who we are, we can understand more from our ancestors and their stories.

Rediscovering Latinidad Season 7 Episode 1 Latinidad Ampliada
Aaaaaaand we're back! Did you miss us? It's Hispanic Heritage Month, and what better way to celebrate than to discover and discuss our roots!

For our season premiere, we're discussing the history of ethnic labels for Latinos and the evolution of U.S. census categories. We're also remembering that "Latin America" and the Caribbean have a number of non-Hispanic countries where Spanish is not spoken. We are joined today by our panelists Sasha and Shoma, who are first cousins and whose families are from Guyana and French Guiana, respectively.
