Thriving When the World’s on Fire - Marriage Part Three
In this episode, we explore how your career isn't just a paycheck or a passion—it's a covenant. Just as marriage, your calling requires commitment, sacrifice, faithfulness, and a clear vision. Drawing from biblical wisdom, we unpack what it means to approach your work not with a consumer mindset, but with a heart rooted in purpose and obedience to God. Whether you're questioning your path or deep in the grind, this conversation will challenge you to stop "dating" your calling—and start honoring it like a marriage. 📖 Key Scriptures: Malachi 2:14–15, Colossians 3:23, Ephesians 2:10, Galatians 6:9, Matthew 6:33 Rate our podcast! Rediscovering Biblical Manhood
Thriving When the World’s on Fire - Marriage Part Two
In Part Two of our marriage series, we go deeper—right into the heart and the brain. When uncertainty rises, so do emotional reactions. But did you know that the way we respond to conflict, stress, and even silence in marriage is wired into our brains? This episode unpacks how neuroscience and Scripture beautifully align to help us love well, even when things feel chaotic. You’ll learn what’s really happening in your brain (and your spouse’s) during those tense or distant moments—and how to shift from reaction to reconnection through God’s truth and practical habits. 🧠 Breaking Down the Brain (In Simple Terms): The Amygdala Hijack:When things get tense, your brain sounds the alarm. This is your “fight, flight, or freeze” system. It’s not evil—it’s just survival. But we’re not called to survive marriage—we’re called to thrive in it. Oxytocin – The Bonding Hormone:Physical touch, eye contact, and kind words release oxytocin, which tells your brain, “I’m safe here.” Even short moments of connection can calm conflict before it starts. Cortisol – The Stress Chemical:Ongoing stress floods your system with cortisol. This makes you short-tempered, disconnected, and less able to listen. But prayer, rest, and rhythm (like Sabbath or date nights) can lower it. Mirror Neurons:We absorb each other’s energy. If one spouse is anxious, the other often mirrors it. But the good news? Calm is contagious too. Peace begins with just one partner choosing a different response. The Prefrontal Cortex – Where Wisdom Lives:This is the brain’s center for empathy, decision-making, and patience—and it’s strengthened by prayer, Scripture meditation, and gratitude. It’s where faith and brain science intersect. ✨ What You’ll Walk Away With: A deeper understanding of your emotional reactions (and your spouse’s) Practical ways to regulate stress and build connection A spiritual strategy for loving in chaos Hope that even when your marriage feels uncertain, God is still in the middle—rewiring, renewing, and restoring

Rate our podcast! Questions or comments: info@rediscoveringbiblicalmanhood.com The Swirl of Chaos in Today’s World Wars, economic shifts, political instability, digital information overload. Modern men are deeply affected by the chaos but often forget it’s not new—chaos has existed throughout history. God Thrives in Uncertainty The hosts reflect on how God historically brings order out of chaos (e.g., Genesis, Jesus calming the storm). Instead of fearing uncertainty, Christian men should lean into it as a time for spiritual growth. Faith Over Comfort Western men often idolize control, comfort, and certainty. The episode contrasts "walking by faith" vs. "walking by sight" using verses like 2 Corinthians 5:7 and Hebrews 6. Spiritual Formation Amid Hardship The hosts encourage men to avoid numbing out with distractions or escapism. Real manhood means leading your home, your team, and yourself by trusting God for “manna for today.” Hope as the Anchor Even in collective or personal chaos, biblical men can choose to grow. The episode ends in prayer, asking for peace, courage, and spiritual focus to thrive through Jesus.

Maturity for Men - Part 5 (The #1 Client)
Today, we continue discussing biblical maturity in the sacred union of marriage and how we must navigate our walk with Jesus.  Rate our podcast! Questions or comments: info@rediscoveringbiblicalmanhood.com The Bible teaches that when a man marries he is to leave his parents and cleave to his wife (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-5; Ephesians 5:31).  Rebekah is a good example of independence from parents for women - "And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go" (Genesis 24:58).

Maturity for Men - Part 4 (The Union)
Today, we discuss biblical maturity in the sacred union of marriage and how we must navigate our walk with Jesus.  Rate our podcast! Questions or comments: info@rediscoveringbiblicalmanhood.com The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”… So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. - Genesis 2:18, 21-24

Invading Time
Rate our podcast! Questions or comments: info@rediscoveringbiblicalmanhood.com So, what is time? To put it simply, time is duration. Our clocks mark change or, more precisely, our timepieces are benchmarks of change that indicate the passage of time. We could say, then, that time is a necessary precondition for change, and change is a sufficient condition to establish the passage of time. In other words, whenever there’s a change of any kind, we know that time has passed. We see this as we go through life and as we age. And we cannot recover the minutes that have passed by.

The Seder Meal - 2023
This is a recording of a Men's event we did before Christmas 2023. The Audio is not our highest quality, but the information is great and we hope it brings you curiosity and symbolic knowledge.    The Seder is the traditional dinner that Jews partake of as part of Passover. The annual Passover commemoration is celebrated by nearly the entire Jewish community, bonding families and communities to their Jewish roots. Each year Jewish people, religious and nonreligious, celebrate the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by gathering and experiencing the Passover Seder.

Secret Agent Training - Part 5 (Restoration & Hope)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11 NLT The renewal of all things is meant to be your first hope in the way that God is your First Love. If it isn’t the answer to your wildest dreams, if you aren’t ready at this very moment to sell everything and buy this field, then you have placed your hopes somewhere else. Nearly everyone has. When a precious hope is dashed, it can really break your heart. It may usher in fear and anxiety. You may not recover for a week or five years, depending on the loss and the other resources of your life. If you put your hope in something that cannot possibly come through for you, you will be constantly let down. It was never meant to play that role. Only God knows the depths of your desires. Only He can come through and meet your needs. Jesus — rescue my heart and all my dashed hopes. You are the Healer; come and heal every lost hope in me. Resurrect hope, Lord. John Eldridge Rate our podcast! Questions or comments: info@rediscoveringbiblicalmanhood.com

Secret Agent Training - Part 4 (Freedom in this World)
The Bible states emphatically in Galatians 5:1 that believers are free in Christ: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free” (Galatians 5:1). Before Jesus died on the cross, God’s people lived under a detailed system of laws that served as a moral compass to guide their lives. While powerless to grant salvation or produce true freedom, the Law nevertheless pointed the way to Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:19–24).  Rate our podcast! Secret Agent Training - Part 3 (Say Cheeeeese)
Being a child of God is not about being a pseudo-fake-pretend Christian.  Being a member of God’s house is not about being a poser.  Being a Christian is not about being a Christian in name only.  But instead, being a Christian means that you listen to God’s Word.  Being a Christian is to be a hearer of Jesus’ Word.
