The event resulted in a victory for British diver Gary Hunt, who was awarded three tens for his stunning last dive and finished ahead of nine times world champion Orlando Duque. Gary broke records last year by performing the most difficult dive ever attempted, making history for this unique sport, and finished second to Orlando at the end of the series. His victory at La Rochelle in Season II of this competition sets the standard for this year's series, and it's yet to be seen if Gary will take on the champion title from Orlando for the first time at the final in Hawaii on 12th September.
