Love Grows When Intentions Are Clear
Allowing important boundaries to be crossed will eventually lead a person down the path of bitterness. So many times we may allow others to continue holding our hands despite having not made it clear to us why they continue holding on. This continuous cycle hit hard on the love nerves we graciously and gloriously possess causing us to grow weary of love and question its very existence. There are several steps you can take. Listen to this episode for more.

A Prologue To My Love Story
The most cherished thing through the endless ages can also be a source of pain and regret to others, however, learning to live with the scars and allowing others to apply the balm of healing on us, is a different story. Others may live with the regret and not allow a single soul in, whereas, others may allow another in, and rub their regret onto an innocent soul. Let us learn together through this 'The Love In Bloom' series as we explore the beauty and restrictions of love.....but above it all, the warmth of allowing love to come into your love softly like a cool sparkling stream.

The Need For Closure: A World of the Occult
Death, loss, unemployment, failed marriages, singleness, illness and many other misfortunes are often blamed on other people as the cause: a very unfortunate situation in most African households. Juju, voodoo, and prophecies of doom are destroying homes and relationships. No matter how true, if we are not careful, we are bound to have blood on our hands likewise.

Does God Care?
In pain, we often question the Deity. God's very existence is questioned in a lot of ways when death knocks on our doors. His good plan may not make sense at the point of death. In this episode we are reminded that God is real, He is there in the pain as much as He is, in the joy.

Normalising Grief
It is okay to grieve the loss of a loved one. No, it is not a sign of unholiness or spiritual weakness. In so many instances we read in the Bible of people who mourned and cursed the day of their births; these were righteous people, not pagans yet they still found it necessary to vocalise their pain. In a world that has self-righteous people who disdain excessive grief, it is important to remember that even Christ himself grieved in ways we can never understand.

The Art of Comforting A Grieving Person
Comfort is good, but good intentions may sometimes be ill-received or misunderstood. The consideration that is put in comforting a grieving person should not be underestimated, for it is in our words that walls of grief are broken down or walls of hopelessness and bitterness are built back up.

Understanding and Making Peace With Our Own Death
It is appointed for all people to die, it is another for those people to accept this truth. Death is a natural process, we all must go through; Christian or not. Navigating The Death Of A Loved One
The death of people we love can leave us with unending questions, leading us to our demise or to hope. In grief, we can step on the toes of the other living people we love the most, severing ties and good relationships. If this is the case, the death of our loved ones should be navigated with others in mind.

Sexual Purity In Modern Times
In times like these, is there still a topic to be considered too much a taboo for family discussions? I THINK NOT. It is the burden of every family to teach its offspring about the way of life. Parents who married in the 50s till the 80s linearly saw life whereas those born in the 80s and 90s see life as a zig-zag, so unclear. The parenting styles of these two groups differ by far yet each group had its pros and cons. Issues to do with sex, pornography, addictions, and depression were seldomly discussed in most homes, however, time taught the 80s and 90s babies a lesson; you keep quiete and the Internet will do the parenting for you. The duties of a parent cannot be neglected and left to the universe to take care of, God Himself will hold parents and guardians accountable for the grooming and raising of every child. Stand up and be counted.

The Regret We Carry: Unforgivable
At one point in time, we all say the wrong word, wrong statement, or do the least expected of us. Unlike when we were younger, when we would probably get away with it with just a scolding or a simple smack in the hand or back, now we pay for our social sins dearly. However, a few can imagine the guilt of the one who is required to pay for the atonement of their crimes. From family feuds to friendship squabbles, guilty adults carry the heavy end of the stick, whether the crime was intentional or not. Life is hard to predict. Events of life are even harder, which makes it a very difficult journey to set out on your own with a bagge of regret on your shoulders. Societies and communities do not make it easier. They add coal to an already burning flame, making it hard for both parties to move on. As a result, deep regret often leads to hopelessness and ultimately self-induced death. The pressure of life is too much to bear when guilt and regret are the twins stuck with you. However, there is a remedy.

Your Most Intimate Inner Circle: Friends and Frenemies
Friends bring more happiness into our lives than virtually anything else. Friendships have a huge impact on your mental health and happiness. Good friends relieve stress, provide comfort and joy, and prevent loneliness and isolation. Developing close friendships can also have a powerful impact on your physical health. However, The effects of betrayal can leave one feeling shocked, at a loss and grieving including, morbid preoccupation, damaged self-esteem, self-doubting, and anger. Not infrequently they produce life-altering changes, hypervigilance or feelings that nothing is safe. A sense of inadequacy or embarrassment. Shame or self-blame and decreased self-esteem also accompany other effects. Nevertheless, it is important to have this circle as an individual.

In The Name of God: Using Religion As An Instrument Of Abuse
For the longest time, certain churches, sects, commune leaders, and congregants have gotten away with abuse against mankind, women and children One would ask why, but the answer is seldomly far. Using God as a weapon to sexually assault, to steal, to humiliate and embarrass, to instill fear and to strip the most basic human rights deserving of a human, preachers, leaders, influential individuals, believers and others have continued to alter the Bible, to suit their needs. Church abuse and religious abuse are types of abuse that take place either within a place of worship or religious setting or under the guise of religion. It can be sexual or physical abuse and can involve a single incident or a pattern of abuse and often includes grooming. In this episode...... I said it ALL because the church has turned a blind eye far too long.

Grief and Guilt
Death knocks on the door of every home, as it has been for centuries. What comes after death can be confusing but it's a natural mechanism to get over sudden pain and loss, it's called grief. Grief can be brief, prolonged or it can even last a lifetime. Guilt on the other hand can be so much like grief in the sense that both are painful, but guilt comes to eat the very core of your soul's existence by persistently reminding you of how much you disappointed the deceased person. Oftentimes, many may not realise the importance of the Holy Spirit in that process, however, when invited, He gladly comforts the soul in need of soothing.

A Stranger In Her Own Home: schizophrenia or demonic possession?
Many times, life throws boulders on our journey and oftentimes, we would be unprepared to deal with such unexpected delays. My mom suddenly changed and no one had equipped my father on how to deal with an individual who suddenly changes character and lifestyle. Being young, I was not as concerned about it as I am now. When you are young, all you need is food, playmates and clothes; adult issues are left for them to deal with. My father found himself all alone in this predicament, the wife who once made him smile from ear to ear was now a stranger in her own home. Not knowing any of us, my father had to start teaching my mother everything she once was concerned about. What could have happened to her? Who could have done this heinous act of witchcraft? #schizophrenia #dementia #demonology

To conserve or to develop Wetlands in Harare? That is the question......Many times the government has failed to keep it's promises in keeping the environment safe from unsustainable development.....from capitalism and so on....Yet it goes on to give the Chinese every part of the nation for digging in the name of economic rejuvenation. All efforts towards protection has been met with an unorganized system of the municipality which has held a lot of progress back.
