It’s also a great chance to meet agents and schedule follow-ups. DO leave your contact info, envision your life there, and take note of inspection-worthy items. DON’T bring pets, make messes, or gush about the house (yes, even with cameras rolling). It could cost you later in negotiations.
Sellers: Open houses drive traffic and future opportunities. DO secure valuables and meds, plan to be out with buffer time, and prep a clean, photo-worthy space. Have a plan for pets and kids. DON’T expect detailed feedback—and remember, what buyers say on camera may not match their offers. Don’t let it rattle your mindset or expectations.
