This is being put out with no editing so fingers crossed it's all safe haha. From Roger Rabbit, to Star Wars then deviating into the running costs of the Death Star this episode is bound to give you whiplash. Enjoy.

Warning: discussions of horrible things due to the nature of the programme. Our friend (and one of our first ever guests) Sara joins us again today to discuss the most talked about Netflix Series to date. How much was real and how much was fabricated, some people think there was too many inaccuracies whilst others believe it was part of the story to show the mental state of this infamous killer. We talk about the real person as well as the acting and direction of this impressive and unbelievable story as well as whats next for this popular series.

James is a big fan of this podcast so we invited them on to see who could say the most inappropriate jokes. I think we all lost! This episode has severe teasing and occasional bad language with questionable themes so please listen with caution and even less judgement than usual. This was a treat to let loose and be silly but don't worry the main themes are still movies and TV shows and we have a few serious conversations. Stories about Tattoos, Bluey, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Street Fighter, Animated Movies, the Alien Universe, Jack Reacher and Charlie Sheen.
The film the world is talking about this and even the toughest critics are giving it 5 star reviews. It already has an Oscar buzz relating to every aspect from acting, directing, picture, cinematography and score. We have a few different opinions but we all loved it in different ways. We discuss everything in this 3 part action, drama with comedy elements from the box office results, interesting information on the actors and delving deep into the story and our opinions on how the plot unfolds with the character developments and arcs. This is a special film you can't ignore as it stays with you and promotes discussion. We hope you enjoy ours.

From Australia we welcome Leigh Morgan from his podcast 'Lights.Camera.Rant.' to find out how he got into this business and the perks he receives from visiting movie premieres. We discuss the recent Emmys briefly and go into some detail on the Box Office results from the impressive horrors this year competing with the heavy hitters of 2025, can you guess what's made the most money? This is a fun conversation finding out about what Leigh is currently watching, what his favourite series have been this year and the series and movies he is looking forward to later this year.
Kev worked with Colin on the film The Last Bus starring Timothy Spall and Phyllis Logan, he kept in touch and was gracious enough to accept an invite onto Rage Whale. He's a well known actor anywhere but in Scotland he is part of an TV institution that multiple generations grew up with. We discuss how he got started in acting, theatre, Scottish TV shows and being in the biggest crime drama Taggart. Colin has lots of interesting and funny anecdotes and we have a great conversation over many subjects, we wish we could've spoken to him for much longer. What an honour it was and we hope to have him back on in the near future.
Spoken Word Artist Big Scoop (Dujon Thompson) joins us to talk about his experience with his rise in notoriety in the Rap Battle scene and the traction that this has had with his video blow up and go viral with Mike Tyson, The Rock, Usain Bolt reposting his now infamous words. This skill he has developed has also put him in the same room as Daniel Kaluuya, Big Narstie and many others, put him on TV and gained appreciation from all over the world. He has been working alongside Ashley Banjo and the Diversity Team as a narrator and we know he will keep going from strength to strength. Don't miss this impressive episode.
Drew was unable to join today's conversation so Kev & James catch up on what they've been up to recently and talk about a Skiing holiday they went on a long time ago. They discuss The Naked Gun which takes them into a wormhole of comedies that imprinted on them from their youth. They also discuss the recent Horror releases in the cinema from Weapons, Together and Bring Her Back which brings us to the topics of their Box Office success.
Our regular catch up with each other and provide you an update on what we've watched, what we recommend and whats coming out soon.
Brittany got in contact with us recently asking to be on the show as she was a fan. This blew our tiny minds! She is talking to us today from South Carolina and we loved this conversation with an experienced actor who has worked with great actors on interesting projects over a varied career. We also talk about her time visiting the new Superman set, auditions experiences and her new movies that are in post production and ready for release soon. She also has a new secret project in pre production about to start filming which she is able to give us a little insight into. The craziest story of all is her family invented Play-Doh which is completely true but totally unbelievable. This was a joyful and insightful chat with a talented and fun new friend of the show from Midwest America.
New Orleans Native and cat enthusiast is our special guest from the furthest location to us so far. It's great to hear different voices and perspectives on our show. We talk about New Orleans as Kevs trip visiting (sort of) close by and we give a 'Shout Out' to 'Defend New Orleans'. We talk about Courtneys favourite films of the year, the frustration with movie trailers and discuss the Alien Franchise of which she is a major fan. Mental Health appears to be a constant topic on Rage Whale and we always seem to find a moment to bring it up which we think is positive to normalise so everyone feels heard. The was a fun conversation with another cinephile across the pond with subjects of Horror, Pedro Pascal, Billie Eilish and home gardening (not literal).
A new short episode which just has some updates on recent releases and recommendation in the cinema, on TV and Streaming. Also an update on what's coming out soon, new trailers and Movie News.
This time its just Kev but the whole gang should appear in the future bonus episodes.
We love chatting to this charismatic cinephile. We discuss many things in this episode from Eddington, Nolans new trailer, Pedro Pascal, Jurassic Park, F1 and Superman. But we start discussing the loss of Ozzy Osbourne that happened 10 mins before record (we record a month in advance sometimes). We then discuss Peters recent adventure backpacking in the California mountains and visiting little cinemas and friends along the way. We always have a laugh and an entertaining conversation with this man, we hope you agree.
A hilarious conversation as you might expect but also insightful as we discuss how Kayleigh went from wanting to be an actor to venturing into the Stand Up Comedy scene and actually winning competitions where she has now ended up performing in her very first Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her new show. We talk through aspects of her comedy show, how she got started and the strange places she has performed. Comedians she grew up on and musical comedians that keep her inspired and using her real life to find the funny in every situation. We end with a couple of her songs that go down a treat and ask about some of her favourite movies.
Kevs cousin Jude is a very talented man. At just 17 he has been acting for over a decade, appearing is short films, main features, music videos and many live productions. Now he has also turned his attention to music, being the frontman of an Indie band from Scotland called The Claes who are making waves in the industry. We talk about his music and songwriting process as well as his inspiration where you can clearly hear that he has a huge desire to be creating and constantly learning and improving. We also discuss his acting career so far, auditioning for Trainspotting 2 and his future goals to follow both passions. Jude is wise beyond his years and has put the work in becoming a cinephile and student of the greatest musicians throughout history. We think he is going to go far and we're excited to watch him on his journey.
Gareth joins us again as he feels our previous quiz attempts have been disastrous. Entertaining but frustrating. Will he do a better job hosting it? He has just come back from Download Festival a couple of days ago and tell us a little about that before we start. The quiz has a few different rounds and themes to keep everyone engaged. Please play along at home and see if you can answer before us.
