In the headlines today, new climate projections from NIWA show that New Zealand is to get hotter at a faster rate than previously expected, Winston Peters has claimed that Parliament’s standards are in a ‘state of decay’, 14 people have been killed and 300 injured across Lebanon as handheld radios used by the armed group Hezbollah have exploded across the country, and more.

In stories, we invite Juju Moharram, the co-president of Amnesty Youth Otago, or AYO, to talk about the kaupapa of AYO on campus, Aotearoa, worldwide and how to get involved. Then we are joined by MP for Dunedin, Rachel Brooking, to respond to Health Minister Dr. Shane Reti's ambiguous comments on the Dunedin Hospital rebuild and the lack of governmental commitment to the full project.
