Dear listeners welcome to Sura27 An-Naml (The Ants,
Personal Reflections and life coaching lessons from my readings of this Sura.
- Humility in Leadership (Story of Prophet Sulaymān عليه السلام & the Ants)
- When Sulaymān heard the speech of the ant warning its colony, he smiled with gratitude instead of arrogance.
- Lesson: True leadership means listening to even the smallest voices and protecting the weak, not ruling with pride.
- Gratitude as a Path to Blessing
- Sulaymān prayed: “My Lord, inspire me to be thankful for Your favor upon me and my parents.”
- Lesson: Gratitude brings humility, keeps blessings safe, and connects the heart to God.
- Wisdom in Communication (The Queen of Sheba)
- When she received Sulaymān’s letter, she consulted her people and acted with patience, not haste.
- Lesson: Before reacting, seek counsel, reflect, and choose the path of peace over war.
- Faith Beyond Power
- Despite her throne and kingdom, the Queen of Sheba humbled herself and accepted the truth of Allah.
- Lesson: Worldly power, wealth, and status mean little without surrender to the Divine.
- Every Creature Has Purpose
- Even the ant is given speech, wisdom, and community.
- Lesson: Nothing in creation is insignificant—every being glorifies Allah in its own way. Respect all life.
- Signs Everywhere
- The surah emphasizes looking at creation as signs of God’s existence.
- Lesson: If we slow down, we can see divine messages in nature, people, and everyday life.
- The Heart that Submits is the Real Treasure
- In the end, the greatest wealth was not Sulaymān’s kingdom or the Queen’s throne, but their submission to Allah.
- Lesson: Spiritual richness outshines material wealth.
