A short story about love, karmic ties and visiting the past.
I feel so grateful to have friendships that can be nurtured through voice memos even if we don’t see each other frequently. Of course we go deep in our conversations and even joke about how we are essentially recording podcast episodes for each other. In her last memo to me my friend had shared what she was experiencing recently with the idea of alignment in her life and in my response I shared what was coming up for me. Then I went back to the memo today to inspire myself to record a new podcast episode on the topic and it dawned on me… it was already done. So here it is: my unpolished, honest and from the heart voice memo on alignment. Hope you enjoy :)
This is a piece I wrote about a year and a half ago when I longed for a stronger relationship with these silenced parts of myself. I wanted to live from these places and tap into their wisdom. I knew the power of intention, so I started making it a focus each day. This piece is one of many things I wrote to help bring this idea into embodiment. Today, I can say living this way feels much more natural. The intention worked. It became me.
Your thoughts are more powerful than we've been led to believe.
In this episode, I share insights from my own 10-year journey into awakening, energy and the nature of reality - along with the questions that still don't have answers, and why that's okay. It isn't about what social media has done to the idea of manifesting, this is about taking accountability for our part as co-creators and what's really going on on this planet.
In this episode, I share the story of a vision I received during meditation - a man waiting behind a door - and how it became a powerful lesson in trust, fear and following my heart. This is a reflection on relationships, intuition, and the courage it takes to walk toward the life you truly want.

In this episode, I talk about the mental and energetic blocks that keep us from living the truth in our hearts - and what it feels like when those blocks finally begin to move.
This is for anyone who's been feeling stuck, heavy or disconnected. There's something beautiful waiting on the other side of resistance.
In this episode, I share why I chose not to delete the photos after a breakup and what I did instead. It's a quiet act of self-compassion and a reminder that every chapter- no matter how painful- is worth remembering.

What if heartbreak wasn't a failure, but a sacred part of our becoming? In this episode, I share a personal story of love, loss, and the unexpected path to healing and wholeness. A soulful reflection on what relationships can really offer us if we let them.
This solo episode was inspired by a message on a bag of tea. It is a reoccurring message in my life, as all important ones are, and one I am coming to know more intimately as I work on integrating it's wisdom. It speaks of how life can feel like a race with no finish line. I share my own experience of this heaviness and ways that I am able to move further away from the race mentality and move closer to feelings of peace and wholeness.
I went to my friend Naomi's house and we had some chamomile tea and a chat!
Naomi Psalm is a visual artist, singer/songwriter and maker of electronic music...plus she's a life experience enthusiast like myself and fellow podcaster. So we often get together and have chats just like the one you're about to hear. We're also big proponents of a good old fashion potluck! You make one meal and you get to eat so many more. It's genius.
Here's what we got into today:

Hello friend and welcome to Season 2 of Questioning Kate. I’m your host, Kate Kane. And this is your intro. I hope you like it, because it’s the only time you’re going to hear it. In lieu of including an introduction at the top of every episode, I decided to record this one, single intro. In my experience, we’re all just fast forwarding through those repeating intros anyway, so why bother! So settle in, get cozy and let me tell you a little about me and Questioning Kate.
Hey there, friends. Todays episode is pretty intense. I have felt called to share and talk about what I've been feeling into lately in regards to what's happening in our world. It's something I'm pretty passionate about and also haven't always felt comfortable talking about. Because I doubt myself or think, "who am I to have an opinion on this?" But the truth is, every opinion is valid and every single one of us deserves the space to voice our beliefs. This is who I am and what I'm feeling right now. This is what I feel called to share and talk about. This is what I feel is happening. Maybe you feel the same way or maybe you think I'm nuts. Either way, my intention in sharing is to free myself from holding back and allow myself the gift of expression. And maybe it will inspire you in some way. Or make you curious. Thank you for listening and having an open heart.
Kisses,
Kate 🧡
In this episode I explore the idea that we all have a unique form of genius inside of us and how different the world would look if we all knew how to tap into it. Can we dare to dream that our world could be better? Can we envision a better way of living and being on Earth with one another? And if we can envision it and know what it would take to get there, can't it happen?
In this episode I share a recent download I had about the meaning of life! Ha! Heavy, right? I'm not claiming to have the answers here, it was just a sense of remembering to embrace the whole thing. That it's the ride we came for. And I just wanted to share my experience with you because maybe you are needing some help remembering to. We tend to get pretty hung up on whether we are doing it right or not, rather than just seeing life as an adventure with no particular destination. I reflect on living a life of surrender, trusting what I feel in the moment rather than my thoughts or logic, and how society treats us like we're all the same.
Hope you enjoy! xoxo
On today’s episode I’m chatting with my friend, Naomi Psalm. She’s a musician, an artist, she loves making people laugh and she’s currently working on her first book! Naomi and I have great conversations about life and the human experience, plus we make each other laugh really hard, so I wanted to have her on as a guest. We shoot the shit, we have some laughs and hopefully share something valuable with humanity. Here are some of the topics that came up for us: most embarrassing moments, good 'ole social anxiety, Naomi’s story of waking up and what that has felt like for her, how we make ourselves small and how our past doesn’t exist. Have a listen!
There are a few dog barks in this episode, so don’t say I didn’t warn ya! You'll hear my girl Effie Mae around 10:11 and again around 20:09.
And! If you feel like throwing your money around, this gal will happily take some of it :) Just click the link at the bottom of the page where it says "Support this podcast." Thank you!
Why do we think we should be further along than we are? Why is it so hard to accept where we are on our journeys? How does society make us feel like we have to keep climbing the ladder? How can we open up to acceptance of what is so we can feel more joy in the present? In this episode I explore these questions and the ideas that have helped me.
Why are we constantly comparing ourselves to others? Where does this come from, how is it not serving us and how can we stop? How does it show up in our relationships with others and how does it prevent true connection? In this episode I share some of my own experiences with comparison and judgement in dating and friendships, and the realizations that have helped me to deprogram and have more true experiences.
What about life makes it feel like we're struggling? How are we actually keeping ourselves stuck in the struggle? Can we free ourselves from it? How does the belief that we're all connected help us feel more whole? In this episode I explore how humans create their own prisons of unhappiness and discontent, and ways in which we can liberate ourselves. I share views and realizations that have helped me feel happier, more fulfilled and more whole.
Book Recs:
In this episode I share my personal story about how I manifested my dream partner and what I've experienced in the process. From what I went through to bring it to life to what I'm going through as I navigate the relationship now that it's here. I also share some of my favorite manifesting techniques and the beliefs that work for me.
Is it the things that we think of in passing that manifest the easiest? Is this the secret to being able to manifest effortlessly and quickly? Can we level the balance and just think of everything we want lightly? How can we let go of attachment to the things we really long for? If we do, will they manifest easier? In this episode I explore and give stories about my own experience with this method of manifestation.
