Hello and welcome to Queer I Am, The Podcast and a special season I’m calling Flewey’s Queer Book Club.
I couldn’t have a book club theme and not include my own book! So here it is again, my interview with Damian Kerlin, about my debut book, Do You Believe in Life After Loss – Queer Stories of Loss, Hope and Resilience.
This collection of queer experiences of loss, hope and resilience explores different aspects of loss, the challenges of these situations, but also how queerness might help people to navigate change and loss and the opportunities and hope that can arise when healing begins.
Exploring experiences of loss in all its forms - from bereavement and relationship breakups to loss of community, safety and identity - the book considers how queerness might help people to navigate change and loss and asks the question: do you believe in life after loss?
The book is out right now - please grab a copy, you won't be disappointed.
I hope you enjoy the episode.

In this episode, I’ll be speaking with Author Dylin Hardcastle about their incredible novel A Language of Limbs. This is one of the best queer fiction books I have read – I urge everyone to get a copy immediately, you will not be disappointed.
A Language of Limbs is about love and how it's policed, friendship and how it transcends, and hilarity in the face of heartbreak. A celebration of queer life in all its vibrancy and colour, this story finds the humanity in all of us and demands we claim our futures for ourselves.
I loved speaking with Dylin, and hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did.

From overcoming shame and finding your tribe, to surviving the dating scene and learning to really express yourself, this is a book about joy, empowerment and freedom.

I recently sat down with Trans Pride Brighton Lead, Sarah Savage for a special episode of Queer I Am, The Podcast.
We talk about the current and ongoing fight for Trans Rights, and why the upcoming protest feels more urgent than ever.
Sarah discusses the overwhelming support for Trans Pride Brighton and the Trans community over recent months, the details of and what people can expect on the day itself, including a very special guest that will be on the main stage in New Stein Gardens, and how people can get involved.
Our community coming together has never been more important – please support if you can, and please share this recording, so we can get as much support for Trans Pride Brighton as possible. Around 40,000 people are expected to attend the protest on the 19th July – it is going to be an incredible day.
Thank you, Sarah – I loved speaking with you.
Trans Pride Forever.
