Quarter-Life Questions - adulting made easy
Grace McIntosh
24 episodes

Hey and welcome to Quarter Life Questions - the podcast that makes adulting a little less confusing.

Hosted by Grace McIntosh (a fellow twenty-something who's just trying to figure it all out), this weekly show dives into the big and small questions we all have in our twenties - from money and careers to relationships and mental health.

There’s no manual for adulthood (sadly), but this might be the next best thing.

Each episode features honest chats, expert advice, and zero fluff. Just practical answers to the questions we were never taught in school but now need desperately.

New episodes drop every Wednesday.

Should I Get a Credit Card? Overdrafts, debt and credit card protection with experts from Moneyfacts and ClearScore

This week’s Quarter-Life Question is one I’ve been asking myself lately…Should I get a credit card? I’ve been debating getting one for a while now to help improve my credit score, but quite honestly I don’t really understand how they work - nevermind which are the best ones on the market.

If you’re someone who’s always used a debit card (and maybe occasionally dipped into your overdraft like me), but the whole credit card thing feels like a mysterious grown-up world that no one taught you about — this one’s for you.

✨ In this episode, we cover:

  • What credit cards actually are and how they work
  • Why credit isn’t always a scary word — and how borrowing responsibly can be a good thing
  • How to use credit cards to build your credit history and improve your score
  • Tips on using your credit card safely and smartly

🧠 Expert Guests:

Would you believe it, we’ve got two this week!

  • Rachel Springall is a finance expert from Moneyfacts with 20+ years working in the finance industry. She breaks down what you really need to know before getting your first credit card. For more info it’s Moneyfactscompare.co.uk
  • Joe Wiggins is the Corporate Communication Director at Finance tech company ClearScore. He explains what a credit score is, why it might be useful to have a good score and gives some tips on how to boost it. For more tips and tricks it’s https://www.clearscore.com/
