This is not a breakdown (it's a podcast). Welcome to Public Disservice, hosted by Romanian stand-up comedian, actor, and writer Levy Lupu. This show started as a raw, honest look at life with BPD but has evolved. Now, it's a darkly funny, emotionally honest dive into... well, everything. Each episode opens with a raw check-in from the host—before bringing on guests from all walks of life to talk about their own struggles, stories, and failures. Unfiltered, honest, and occasionally interrupted by cats (Sarma and Pickle), this podcast isn't therapy... but it might help.

Episode 106: Zubaer aka Suit Daddy

Zubaer, better known as The Suit Daddy, joins me this week to chop it up. We started with what he knows best: suits. He breaks down how dressing well isn't just about looking good, but how it fundamentally helped him get his own head straight. Think of it as psychological armor for the modern world.

From there, we naturally spiralled into the mess that is the UK right now, the clowns in charge, and argued about pop culture nonsense. We hit on Bonnie Blue and a few other things that will probably make you question our sanity.

A quick, important note: I opened the episode by talking about the passing of our friend, Beku. His memory deserves to live on through his music.

Episode 105: Ryan Harland

This week, I sat down with writer Ryan Harland, author of Riding the Storm. Ryan got hit with a Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) diagnosis, and he's here to talk about what that actually means.

We get into the raw reality of it—the chaos before he knew what was wrong, the relief and confusion of getting a label, and the absolute grind of learning to manage his own head. This isn't some clinical, preachy discussion; it's a real conversation about the stigma, the stuff that actually helps, and how he's figuring out how to navigate life with a diagnosis that most people know nothing about.

If you're interested in what mental health struggles actually look like behind the scenes, this is the episode.

Episode 103: Kim Hope

Got a real one for you this wee. The wonderful person and comedian Kim Hope (@thatkimhope) came by and we ended up going deep.

We talked about what it's like to build a life in comedy, but the main event was a raw conversation about addiction. As you might know, I'm sober, and so is Kim. We shared our stories, not to tell anyone how to live, but just to lay it all out there. We talked about why we drank, why we stopped, and the occasionally funny absurdity of navigating life with a clear head.

This isn't a self-help episode. It's just a real chat we hope

might connect with someone out there who feels like they need a change. Or maybe you just want to hear a couple of comedians try to be serious for an hour. Either way, tune in.

Episode 102: Paul Fitzgerald

Full disclosure: at the beginning of the recording I recorded my end of this conversation with a potato. Huge apologies for the technical mishaps. That's 100% on me.

The reason you're hearing this anyway is because this week's guest Paul "Fitzy" Fitzgerald (@paulfitzgerald_official) is a legend and the chat was just too good not to use because of the internet issues I had.

We talked about that "Oh shit" moment when you look at your life and realise something's got to give. Paul was incredibly open with his own journey, from the initial realisation to building a life where he's now helping countless others have their own breakthroughs.

Stick wit it through the audio bumps, I promise the story is more than worth it. Go check his work and join his group on Facebook and follow him at @paulfitzgerald_official.

Episode 101: Peter Merre

This week, we've got a real workhorse of the comedy circuit in the studio, the razor-sharp Peter Merre. Peter is a topical comedian, meaning he's one of the brave souls who actually reads the news on purpose. Go see his show and follow him for takes that are smarter and faster than your push notifications.

Your host is the purveyor of questionable life choices and the reason this podcast has its name. Ultimately, while we talk a lot about comedy, this is a podcast for anyone navigating the beautiful chaos of a personality disorder—whether it’s your own, like your host, or someone in your life.

  • Follow the podcast/host: @comedylevy32

Why should you listen? This is what happens when a comedian with his finger on the pulse of the world sits down with a comedian who can barely find his own. We get into the madness of the Fringe, the absolute state of stand-up, and whether it's harder to write a joke about politics or explain a gap in your CV. It's a proper chat for comedy nerds, degenerates, and anyone who gets it. Tune in.

Episode 99: Mara Mainka

In this episode, I’m joined by comic and writer Mara Mainka (@maramainka), where we dive into her unique upbringing—raised in Germany with strong Romanian roots. We talk identity, language, and the quiet chaos of growing up between cultures. From bratwurst to sarmale, we dissect the subtle (and not-so-subtle) cultural contrasts between Western Europe and Romania, all with a healthy dose of humour, observation, and a few well-earned jabs at childhood trauma.

Why listen:

If you’ve ever felt like a cultural mishmash—or if you just like hearing two people with mild abandonment issues laugh about Europe’s family dysfunction—this one’s for you.

Episode 98: Jody Nolan-Greenwood

Jody Nolan‑Greenwood, known in the verse world as @bardofthebush, is a raw electric force in the UK spoken word scene. His Instagram feed is a fiery gallery of evocative poetry — from “Crowned In Fire” to confessional pieces that trace his “pulse of my past”. Jody transforms the mundane into myth, conjuring visceral visual scenes with words. He crafts his art from life’s scraps—physical or emotional—but always performs with unwavering confidence and incisive clarity .

⚠️ Content Disclaimer:
The intro includes a personal reflection on family trauma and estrangement, which some listeners may find sensitive. Feel free to skip ahead to the main conversation if needed.

Who should listen to this and why:

If you’ve ever felt like you don’t fit—but still want to make something honest—this one’s for you.

Episode 97: Steve Jameson

This week on Borderline Podcast Disorder, I sat down with Steve Jameson — the brilliant comic mind and theatrical chameleon behind Sol Bernstein, the world’s oldest living Jewish comedian (who's somehow still gigging harder than most 20-year-olds on TikTok).

Steve’s been a staple of the UK comedy scene for decades, whether it’s as himself or channeling Sol: a cigar-wielding, old-school Borscht Belt relic with stories that straddle the line between truth, trauma, and total nonsense. Beneath the gruff, wheezy exterior of Sol lives Steve’s razor-sharp writing, impeccable timing, and a deep love for comedy rooted in history, family, and character work that cuts deep — and still kills.

In this episode, we ditch the curtain and meet the man behind the legend. Steve opens up about his beginnings in comedy, from working men’s clubs to reinventing himself with one of the most iconic characters on the circuit. We talk family history, Jewish identity, and how personal pain often becomes performance gold. There’s talk of tragedy, reinvention, and what keeps a veteran performer getting back on stage night after night.

Whether you're a comedy nerd or just culturally confused (like me), this one's packed with stories, sharp reflections, and a lot of heart.
