Hot on the heels of our ASC episode we managed to gather the troops and record again! We felt it important to hear from the other event that ran parallel alongside the ASC. The Greenstone Cup!

The oldest BB Tournament in Oceania, The Greenstone cup is in its 21st year and took place at the same time, in the same building so think of this episode as a continuation of the previous one.

Representing the cadre of clever Kiwis who put the event together we are joined by Auckland's most enthusiastic player Mahuika. And, representing the gamers themselves, we welcome back the amazing Arlo from the Hawkes Bay. Alongside Toffer and Welshy we get a good rundown of who did what and how it all turned out.

Why did people run off to hide in the bar? What is Arlo's breakfast of champions? Why has James disowned his kids? All this will be answered in our other 50th episode!

Well if you thought 10,000 listeners was big, you haven't heard our 50th episode yet! Another bumper one this time.

The Ausbowl State Championships! A meeting of all our Australsian provinces for a weekend of team based gaming with one team taking out the top spot. Running concurrently with the Greenstone Cup (which will be the subject of our 51st episode) a multitude of Aussies descended on Mission Bay to try and wrestle the silverware away from us and drag it back to the West Island.

There were several outcomes but on key one was that the Powtearoa Studios have been invaded by Kangaroo Plushies, Cans of VB, Posters of 80s soap opera's and Down Underworld Denizens very own Babs!

Babs has long been a Friend of the Show and he returns today as one of the members of the Queensland team who took part in the ASC. Toffer and Trickey are also joined by our own Claymore. Claymore was part of the North Island team at this massive event.

Thanks again for the 10,000 listens!!

This episode Welshy and Toffer are joined by Lord_Vortigern and Muckboot because all four of us recently attended the inaugural Powtearoa Squad Spectacular at the fantastic Cashmere Club in Christchurch.

Firstly. Thanks to everyone who donated to Grudge at the Crater! An amazing outcome for an amazing cause.

This episode, we have Jesse from Christchurch with us again to talk about what is happening in their two massive leagues this year. They do things a little different down there as it makes it easier when dealing with large numbers and people who want different things from a league system.

Mānawatia a Matariki Coaches

Welcome back to another episode of Powtearoa - The New Zealand Blood Bowl Podcast!

This episode we head to our biggest city to see what is happening with our Auckland coaches. No Trickey this time as he is globetrotting. But, Welshy and Toffer are joined by Mahuika (James) and Makahli (Benjamin) from Auckland to tell us all about it.

11 Auckland coaches recently visited Hamilton for Bobsol's Matariki 7s event and we hear how they got on (though Toffer couldn't remember where the event took place). Then we discuss the Grudge at the Crater an upcoming charity 11s event in Auckland, what is happening and how to get involved in helping to raise money for the amazing I am Hope charity.

Colossal in the Capital! Towering in te whanganui a tara! A Wellington Whoppa!!

Aotearoa's biggest tournament ever was last weekend and we had roving reporters on the ground as it all happened. 57 coaches battled it out over 5 fantastic games of Blood Bowl and this episode we hear from some of those who were there.

Ausbowl fans will be aware of the format but basically its a bit like PPC but the squads don't have to be regional based and can be made up of friends and fiends from anywhere! Also there are some pretty sweet team builds available.

So sit back, put your headphones on and ignore your opponent across the table who keeps insisting it is your turn and you need to roll for kick off.

We are kindly joined by friends of the show Arlo and James who both attended the recent tournament in Napier.

But first we finally get round to discussing the arrival of the new GW Chaos Dwarf team and roster. Do we like them? What do we like if we do like? What if we don't like? Will anyone care? It was only a matter of time and that time is now. James Cardno (Mahuika) joins us this episode to discuss the recent Greenstone Cup in Auckland. Luckily, Maria (Saku) joins us too and between us we manage to keep Mr Cardno under control.

Another first for Aotearoan Blood Bowl!

Two tournaments on the same weekend!

A regular occurrence in other nations but here in our teeny tiny set of islands hundreds of kilometers from everywhere else this is a big deal.

7s in Palmy and then 7s in The Hutt. Saturday and Sunday. Was this amazing series of events planned that way or was it an oversight. Lets say the first one!

This episode we are joined by Arlo who shows us that even if you win a tournament you still cannot be as amazing as Deon who is clearly the best Wellington based Blood Bowler of them all. Nonetheless this is a fine example of humble bragging. Claymore also joins us to feed in the stats from his set of super secret dossiers.
