In episode 118 of the Pet Biz podcast, we dive deeper into the theme of breaking free from societal and self-imposed limitations discussed in the previous episode. The conversation expands on how professionals in the pet industry often face misconceptions from others about their work. I talk about overcoming external and internal judgments about career choices. The episode emphasizes the importance of community, particularly in light of the isolation experienced during the pandemic, and how connecting with like-minded individuals can be empowering. The podcast also explores setting ambitious goals, leveraging books like Marie Forleo's 'Everything is Figureoutable' and Dan Sullivan's '10x is Easier than 2x' to shift mindsets from 'I can't' to 'I won't' and envisioning expansive growth. Finally, the host encourages listeners to uncover their passion, purpose, and integrate them into their professional lives, using the parable of the bricklayer to illustrate the varied perspectives on work. The episode concludes with a call to reflect on personal journeys and the factors that drive personal and professional fulfillment.

Be Unproductive? 🤣
Pretty much what I thought when I heard Morgan present at the Florida Pet Services Association conference in August.
Then I though about it. Do you have an issue just sitting quietly with yourself? Do you have a hobby? Do you always have an urge to check your phone notifications?
I am not sure when I have ever just been present and "unproductive". I am constantly thinking about a new initiative or tweak. When I go to dinner the conversation frequently wanders to business. Do I try to just be? Of course I do! But it is challenging.
In this podcast I started as a part of the Revenue Streams Series talking about her Memory Flame Candles business and her husband's aquarium maintenance business...but we soon wandered into some of the deeper aspects of how difficult it can be to take a step back.

If you admire a no-bullshit kinda guy that won't use his prestigious Harvard law degree to go into politics because he has a penchant for the truth and calling it as it is...
meet Bobby Klinck - my new dog loving friend who can help you shore up your business legal needs AND get a glimpse into how you can expand into online services while doing the CYA two-step.
All with a healthy dose of self-deprecation, a wicked sense of humor, and a penchant for throwing some great 80s and 90s references 🙌
In this podcast I talk with him about legal risks we might see in our pet businesses and especially if we are in the online space (like, aren't we all?). I personally bank on his legal templates and am SO excited that he is releasing his new Plainly Legal software so we can all get back to business and let someone else handle the legal stuff.
RIGHT NOW he is hosting his "Legal Is Not A Dirty Word" event where you can get a preview and access tools to CYA right now.
