Quick turnaround for the Trojans heading into the Northwestern game Friday night
In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham, Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple-Double") and intern India Otto are back in studio following USC's successful road trip to Nebraska and the quick turnaround with a Friday night showdown against Northwestern. The Trojans couldn't get the passing game going in Lincoln, but the run game and the defense kept the game within reach before Jayden Maiava could get things rolling with his legs. The 21-17 comeback victory was an important result, keeping the Trojans alive in the race for the College Football Playoffs heading into the final stretch of the season.
Anna Watson from The Daily Northwestern joins the show to give her thoughts on this Wildcat squad and what challenges they can give the Trojans on Friday night.
The crew gives their thoughts on how the team performed against Nebraska, surviving the crazy blackout environment and securing a win despite not playing a clean game. They also take a look at Friday night's potential trap game against Northwestern with the Wildcats coming off a bye and looking to become bowl eligible.
