Season 2: Episode 3: Textiles with Sara Wynn
In this episode, I speak with Sarah Wynn. Her experience and knowledge surrounding the textile space is broad. She provides insight into what it looks like to be a designer, see her designs “ripped” off by companies like Amazon and why the mountains of toxic textiles inspired her to change careers. She educates us on The Conscious Fashion Collective, her involvement, and what they’re doing to change the textile industry as we know it. What I loved most about speaking with Sara, was her candid approach to her beliefs on humanity. She described how “starting a loom” and “sewing” are still things that humans alone can do. She states, “our humanity is the common thread between us all”. We hope you enjoy this episode on textiles, sustainable education and human right in this space.
