With the 2025-26 NC State Wrestling season right around the corner, we visit with 2025 All-American Isaac Trumble on episode #140 of the #PackMentality Pop-Ins Podcast. The Nebraska native covers: marriage (including a kid on the way), injury, military life after college, and the excitement surrounding the Wolfpack program entering a new season.

In his first season up at heavyweight last year, Trumble placed fourth at the NCAAs and brought home All-American honors for the first time in his career. But, he endured a major knee injury late in the season, which he rehabbed over the summer, and is now gearing up for one final run in the Pack's Red & White singlet.

The postseason is finally here! All through preseason and during the regular season you will hear many coaches and athletes talk about getting to March. That time is now, and it is time for the NC State Wolfpack to compete at the 2025 ACC Championships.

On episode #136 of the #PackMentality Pop-Ins Podcast, co-host Brian Reinhardt and NC State head coach sit down and go weight-by-weight through the Wolfpack starters as they gear up for postseason action. NC State will go into the event as the reigning six-time champions, raising the team trophy at the ACC Championships every year dating back to 2019.

Since the 2015-16 season, NC State has won seven ACC Championships and finished second a pair of times. The Pack has not finished lower than second place since the 2015 ACCs, a span of 10 straight top-two showings.

One last time inside Reynolds Coliseum this season for the NC State Wrestling team, as the Wolfpack closes out its dual slate with an ACC battle against Stanford Friday night.

Reinhardt also visits with the Pack's starter at 197 pounds, Christian Knop. Alabama's Athlete of the Year as a high school senior (among all sports), Knop chose the wrestling mat instead of the football field. He is now in his sixth season with the Pack and his first in the starting lineup.

The 2024 ACC Championship will be hosted by North Carolina this year on Sunday, March 10. NC State leads the ACC with five top seeds, and the Pack also added three with the second seed. Meaning, the Wolfpack will have just two compete in the opening round, while the eight others have a bye into the semifinals as NC State goes for a sixth straight ACC title.
