In this week's episode, I sat down with the amazing Jodi Rodgers. Many will know Jodi as the beloved Relationship Counsellor from 'Love on the Spectrum, Australia'. Jodie is also a qualified sexologist, counsellor and special education teacher, with over 30 years’ experience in the education, disability and sexuality fields.
In this conversation, we dive into a rich, thoughtful exploration of what it means to support Autistic people in their relationships, friendships, and family dynamics. Jodi opens up about her own journey, fuelled by a love of people, curiosity about human connection and a deep value and respect for the “unique”.
She shares invaluable insights on everything from trust-building and social needs, to consent education, gender identity, and the evolving landscape of autism diagnoses.
Whether you’re a parent, a professional, or simply someone wanting to better understand and support the Autistic community, Jodi brings a clarity, warmth, and wisdom to topics that will resonate for everyone and, quite simply, she’s one of the very best people I’ve ever met.
You’re going to walk away with so much to think about and even more to feel inspired by. You're welcome! X
