The following Pause for Parenting Programme looks at Paternity with attorney  Ms. Sumaya Desai who represented the Barbados Bar Association.

Ms Desai explained that paternity speaks to the father of the child and why it is important  for a child to know who his or her father is. She explained that if a person who is named as a father is in doubt he can ask for a test. Paternity test can be done before the child is born.
