Our relationship with the Father must become deeply personal if we truly want to know Him, love Him and reflect Him as we ought to. He has taken ownership of us, but have we taken ownership of Him?
God’s ecosystem: is a seamless network of people and families, each living and reflecting Him both individually and collectively as his family.
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
John 15:8
In a world that emphasizes quick fixes and results, the Kingdom honors obedience regardless of the outcome.
The call of destiny includes waiting seasons that the Lord orchestrates. It’s at this juncture that faith is forged, character is built and maturity is pursued. It is also the place can love can grow cold and passion can be lost. The choice of how we respond is ours to make.
God’s love for us is a love that was never earned. It is a love that persistently pursues, graciously descends and mercifully rebukes.
What is it that keeps us persistent in our calling, despite setbacks and hardships?
Is it a fire-fuelled internal motivation that He has placed within or are we relying on temporary and waning external motivations?
May we rise like Jeremiah and press on to accomplish His purpose in this life.
“Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong. It is knowing the difference between right and almost right.” —C.H. Spurgeon
What does it mean to be a herald or a messenger of the gospel? Christ entrusts us with taking His truth to the ends of the earth. May we be found faithful in doing so.
In Luke’s Gospel, we see how FAITH in Christ brings both FORGIVENESS and FREEDOM. The paralyzed man’s friends broke through a roof to get him to Christ and the sinful woman humbled herself before Him—both acts of radical faith. Their trust was met with compassion, forgiveness and freedom. Let’s grow in Faith, Humility, Freedom, Forgiveness and Love for others, just as Christ calls us to.
If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. - 1 John 1:6
No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules. - 2 Timothy 2:4,5
Training and discipline is a very important aspect of our lives and our walk with Him. Have we truly trained ourselves to pray?
HE’S GOT IT!
He’s an Incredible God,
Magnificent and beyond comprehension!
Just as He works wonders in nature,
He’s working miracles in You, through You and for You…because You are His most beloved creation.
What are we leaving behind? Two mothers from the Bible leave us each with a cautionary tale of why it is important to take our legacy seriously. May God be loved, honored, and glorified in this generation and the next!
In our pursuit of destiny, God calls us to abandon ourselves, walk in humility and complete surrender.
Shifting from a Mathew 14 mentality to an Acts 3 mentality, entailed learning a few lessons for the disciples. Three of these lessons were:
1. A Lesson in Seeing
2. A Lesson in Emptying
3. A Lesson in Returning
We do well to learn these if we want to live in the freedom, power and purpose He has called us to!
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. - 2 Timothy 1:7
The call of destiny is one that urges us to put our hand to plough and not look back. We press on in His strength!
