Rolla Selbak is an LA based writer and director spotlighting Palestinian stories. We talk about the price of speaking up and what we don´t feel "allowed" to say. BTW why does everyone want to SEEM good instead of BEING good? UGH. We cover some upsetting and uncomfortable imperialist history.
I wonder if more women in power is the answer to a better humanity but am somewhat brutally rebuffed because apparently power corrupts (bummer). Despite the heaviness on our hearts we laugh our asses off as we riff on paths to peace (could Thankgsgiving, psychedelics and reality TV all be part of the solution?). We also make fun of cartoonish politicians and get emotional about Ursula LeGuin´s short story The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas. Rolla tells me about the walking vibe that is Saint Levant for the first time and update he´s ON REPEAT.
