Revelation 1:9 - For Revelation verse 1:9 Brad was excited to discover that he had more material than he thought he would have and made the decision to split this study into parts 1 and 2. For part 1 Brad shares his thoughts on how God puts the right people in the right place at the right time for amazing reasons. Brad explains this truth by spending this study discussing who John was and why he was on the island of Patmos and how that was the perfect place for him to be to receive the Revelation.  

Revelation 1:8 “Not About Us” brings you the next Revelation podcast study and Brad starts this one off with being thankful for the listeners and explains that he hopes to bring the same passion into this study has was in the last study, discussing Jesus returning in the clouds. The study starts with word studies of the words “I” and “am” of the “I am” statement that begins the verse. Brad gets excited by the idea of Jesus telling us who He says He is and brings several “I am” statements from the Gospel of John into the study. A picture is then painted of who Jesus says He is. The Revelation study continues with word studies for the words “alpha”, “omega”, “beginning”, and “ending”. Brad shares his thoughts on what he learned from this word studies and continues with word studies of the words “saith” and “almighty”. The discussion about Jesus and his unlimited power and love for everyone is had and Brad struggles with not having the perfect words to describe such and amazing God. This one ends with a prayer that God will introduce Himself to the “Not About Us” listeners.

Revelation 1:7 Get ready for this continuing Revelation Bible study adventure podcast. In this study Brad starts off with the bold declaration of “Behold” and why he thinks this verse is important and personally very important for him in his current relationship chase with Jesus. The meaning behind the word “cometh” is discussed and Brad makes a comparison between a lighting blast and the first coming of Christ followed by a discussion of how to answer those that scoff at the idea of Christ returning. The love story of Revelation continues as the words “with” and “clouds” are discussed and a theory is shared that John is hinting at Jesus returning with a great multitude, the armies of Heaven. Brad attempts to paint a picture of Jesus returning using his imagination and scripture verses that show how glorious and awesome that will be. Continuing on, Scott and Brad discuss how every eye could see the Revelation event and then discuss why the church has a hard time teaching Revelation. Wrapping things up, Brad shares his thoughts on the word “pierce” and the phrase “shall wail” and then paints the same picture of Christ returning from the perspective of someone who is not saved and gives a warning to encourage everyone to find a relationship with Christ before it is too late.

Revelation 1:6 Join “Not About Us” as we dig deeper into the Bible adventure of Revelation! In this study conversation Brad shares his thoughts on being a king and priest unto God and how that means being the best part of a king and a servant. A discussion about the pattern of being on fire for God and falling away is reinforced by thoughts from Scott and Brad talks about how the Holy Spirit can be grieved. This continues into the story of Joseph who Brad considers to be a wise leader from scripture. Brad digs deeper into the meaning of the words glory, dominion, ever and amen to help paint the picture of what is going on in this verse. A discussion of giving glory to God just by having a good opinion of Him then leads into a discussion all about the mighty deed that will be celebrated for ever and ever. Finally, Brad and Scott share their thoughts on how to get into for ever and ever. Amen!

Revelation 1:4-5 “Not About Us” finish discussing Revelation verse 4 and offer more insight on God’s throne. A distinction is made between the throne and the footstool and an idea is brought to light of what that might mean for our relationship with God. Also, Brad hints to more information about the throne coming in a later conversation about God’s throne room. Continuing to verse 5 Brad shares his hope to paint a picture of the Jesus who is a faithful believer in God. Also discussed is how Jesus is the first-born of the dead and how that means even more than “Not About Us” had considered before. Finally, “Not About Us” shares a reminder of the Jesus who loves us so much that He continually works to wash away our sin.

Revelation 1:4 Revelation is truly a Bible adventure and in this third study from "Not About Us" the adventure continues. Brad shares his thoughts on the Old English word for church, what grace means to him, and he goes deeper into the seven spirits. "Not About Us" hopes this study will be a continuous blessing to you!
