Avast ye salty dawgs! This week Nichole and Giu discuss Robert Egger’s 2019 film The Lighthouse, an ultra creepy fictionalization of the Flannan lighthouse mystery. Starring Willem Dafoe, as well as our boy, Robert Pattinson, this starkly atmospheric movie has us both feeling like we are the ones who have been drinking turpentine alone on a rock for weeks! Just remember, whatever you do, don’t piss off the seagulls.

This week, your besties Nichole and Giu review the trailer for Love Hurts, directed by Jonathan Eusebiothis and featuring actor Ke Huy Quan, who plays alongside Cam Gigandet (who played James in the Twilight movie!) This movie is about Marvin Gable, not Marvin Gaye, although this realtor and his girlfriend seem to know a lot of funky kung fu!

And we’re back with another K-Stu movie! This time Nichole and Giu are both very excited by the idea of this post-apocalyptic love story between a buoy and a satellite played respectively by our girl, Kristen Stewart, and Steven Yeun, and directed by the Zuchero Brothers. What will these two AI-based personalities, learn about love and the human condition when the Earth itself is devoid of humanity? And how much will this movie make Nichole cry?!

In this minisode trailer review your besties enthuse about the possibility of a Goth Mary Jane and appreciate the aesthetics of yet another Spider-Man show. Vincent D’Onofrio, who starred alongside Bryce Dallas Howard in Jurassic World, voices the villainous kingpin this animated show looks super fun and at the very least will be an excellent inspiration for cosplayers!
