Our Health Technology Assessment Innovation Laboratory (HTA Lab) was launched in June 2023 to test and develop creative solutions to complex problems in health technology assessment. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has, for the first time, published a guideline on the identification and management of adrenal insufficiency, a rare condition which occurs when the adrenal glands do not produce enough essential hormones – particularly cortisol and aldosterone.
