In Luke 19 Jesus tells a parable about 10 servants.
Seven of them didn't want the master to be king at all...
One takes what he gives and hides it.
One takes what he is given and shows a profit of 5 times as much
One takes what is given and shows a 10 times ROI...
Which one do you want to be?
Boy was I convicted when I read it. While I know I'm not one of the Seven... I sure want more than to just hide what he has given me. I want to be one of the two.
Do you ever feel like you just can't take one more thing?
Today we are in Genesis 42:36 Jacob exclaimed, "You are robbing me of my children! Joseph is gone! Simeon is gone! And now you want to take Benjamin, too. EVERYTHING IS GOING AGAINST ME!
The crazy thing is... is that in this moment that Jacob felt total dispare God was planning something amazing. Jacob would find out Joseph his beloved son was a live.
Yet in the moment he had a choice that laid before him. How could God ask "one more thing" of him. Would he surrender?
