The Post-Cold War myth of the "Liberal International Order" is dead. And it's dead for good. But there are others that are still persisting and they are dangerous. One of the most hurtful myths is of course that the West only wants to "spread democracy" and "protect" peoples at home and abroad. Nother could be further from the truth. The USA and NATO are ruthlessly exploiting their members and proxies for naked, blatant, and highly illegal power projection. Mainstream Media in the West is obviously broken. Yet, the more dysfunctional the industry gets, the more it seems to be denying any wrong doing, blaming anything, from technological progress to Social Media and Fake-News for their demise. Back in those days German-Russian relations were at an all-time high. Well, we live in a completely different universe now, and if you ask most people in Europe, they will tell you it’s because that president from back then turned into an insane dictator. But, what really happened? How come that today, Twitter is full of german intellectuals and politicians who can’t wait for a direct war with Russia? This is a Webinar of the Multipolar Peace Network Initiative. Count Michael von der Schulenburg, who worked decades in conflict resolution for the United Nations and is now a European Parliament member for Germany's left-wing party BSW, discusses with Professor Jeffrey Sachs the reasons and extend of EU elite madness and institutional failures.
