DMN (Default Mode Network) is is a network of interacting brain regions that is active during mind REST, when a person is not focused on the outside world. If we aren’t intentional about it, it can cause rumination, which increases depression and pain. By using mindfulness and meditation, we can increase focus and mental stamina, while decreasing negative DMN activity. God chose us as his RESTING place and with that, he gave us the ability to use our mind-resting ability to use our DMN activity for our benefit.
