Back again with another banger! This time Dylan expresses his dislike for the Grammy's, and we discuss the 2001 teen slasher classic- Valentine.
We all know Chris Stapleton should have won Country Album of the Year over Beyonce, and that's all I will say about it. (unless you listen to the episode)
We're finally back from our Christmas break! (Even if we may b a bit late). Happy Valentine's Day and thank you for the love and support! WELCOME TO SEASON 2
This week we review The Devil All The Time, starring Tom Holland, Bill Skarsgard, Robert Pattinson, and Riley Keough.
We also review Oltrezona's newest full length-Prisoners. Feel Free to reach out and give us some reccomendations!
The homies review a 2024 Indonesian Netflix movie about an a group of assassins. If that sounds amazing to you too, go check out The Shadow Strays!
We've also had the new Kendrick Lamar album GNX on REPEAT!
We definitely recommend both the movie and the album this week!
This week we discuss the comedian Stavros Halkias' new movie, Let's Start a Cult. Both of us were happy to review a new comedy that brought us back to the early 2000's. Movies like The Hangover, Borat, and Superbad. It's dumb, it's fun, and it doesn't take itself too seriously.
We were also taken back to a time before we were around with Thee Sacred Souls' new album "Got a Story to Tell"., A modern version of the sounds of Motown.
Make sure to comment on Spotify what you think of the episode! This helps promote the podcast!
Part two, comin at you!
The homies are back to give the conclusion to our top 5 video game soundtracks episode from last week. We wanted to make sure we had content ready since we won't be recording an episode during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Steven joins the homies for our first ever TWO PART episode! We stay with the tradition of doing a top 5 list, and went with video game soundtracks. Camtron wasn't able to make it, but he did send us his top five to add in as well.
This week we discuss Anna Kendrick's directorial debut with "Woman of the Hour" based on a true story about serial killer Rodney Alcala.
We were also recommended Disney's newest album, in collaboration with alt rock, and pop punk artists. This album features bands such as Simple Plan, Yellowcard, and New Found Glory, covering songs from hit movies like Toy Story, Aladdin, and Hercules.
We reviewed Eli Roth's movie "Thanksgiving" as previously discussed. We also reviewed Kublai Khan TX's newest album "Exhibition of Prowess"
This will probably not be our last horror movie.... I know we said we were gonna change it up after October, but we just couldn't help oursleves!
This is the last episode of "Super"Natural Born Casters!
We will continue on in November with the regular format of one movie, one album, but the movies won't necessarily be horror. Let us know what you thought about the month of horror! What's your favorite scary movie?
We also highly recommend that you check out Azrael, streaming on Shudder, and the band Treaty Oak Revival!
This week we decided to support a Youtuber that's making a name for himself with horror flicks in a short film format. "That's a Bad Idea" has recently released the "found footage" movie "Milk and Serial" on Youtube and it is a BANGER!
Tyler and I both loved this one, and we definitely recommend you give it a chance. We decided to avoid talking about the plot too much, simply because its super fresh and has plenty of twists and turns.
Curry Barker may just be the next big name in horror!
We also recommend the new album "Greatest Riffs" by the Black Sabbath cover band "Zakk Sabbath". A modernization of the classics, this album doesn't add any frills. It takes what made the original songs great, and adds in that sludgy, doom metal style Zakk Wylde is known for.
ON TODAY'S EPISODE OF SUPERNATURAL BORN CASTERS WE GET TRAUMATIZED
But for real though, this week we took a look back at all the times we were absolutely DESTROYED by moments in movies. If you decide to check any of these out, let us know what your thoughts are!
Back with another horror movie, and a certified BANGER of a country album. This week the SUPERNATURAL born Casters review the 2002 comedy horror- Cabin Fever. We also review the rising country star Zach Top's new album "Cold Beer & Country Music.
Hope you enjoy, and send us your recommendations!
Starting NOW, the boys are reviewing horror movies for the whole month of October! We are also referring to the cast as SUPERNATURAL Born Casters!
Are you as excited for spooky season as we are??
This week we review the 1991 Wes Craven classic, The People Under The Stairs, and the new album "The G Code" from slam band Peeling Flesh. DISCLAIMER, this music is definitely NOT for everyone, but it is part of our mission to introduce each other (and yall) to new and interesting music we may not have found otherwise.
Staying with our trend of reviewing NEW RELEASES, this week we reviewed Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and Silly Goose's new EP "Bad Behavior". Tyler described them as a "Hardcore Limp Bizkit" and couldn't be more accurate.
Send us your recommendations!
This week we discuss the new Netflix original Rebel Ridge, starring Aaron Pierre and Don Johnson.
Spoiler alert obviously, because these both JUST RELEASED! Go check them out before you listen!
We're doing a whole bunch of horror movies for Spooky Season, so send us your recommendations!
We made it to episode 25 everybody!!!
We invited the wives to do a top 5 episode with us and it lasted THREE HOURS!
Shout out to Bethany and Tori for joining us. WHAT AN EPISODE!!!
Tyler and Dylan review the newest entry to the Mad Max series, Furiosa A Mad Max Saga. Another great recommendation, recently added to the MAX streaming platform. The movie is a prequel to the 2015 Mad Max Fury Road. We also review Four Year Strong's newest album "Analysis Paralysis".
Oh, and happy Labor Day!!
Tyler returns for a mob classic starring Chaz Palminteri, directed by Robert De Niro. A Bronx Tale is a 1993 film based in the 60's about a mobster Chaz knew as a kid. De Niro stars as his father Lorenzo, in his directing debut. What an ABSOLUTE CLASSIC this movie was. We HIGHLY recommend this one! We also review King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's new album "Flight b741". Terrible name, awesome band! Also recommended. Thanks to Syd for the great recommendation! Keep em coming!
Tyler is back with us this week, and he has some big news! His band Super Reaper is releasing their debut song "Barbwired" is releasing the day after this episode! make sure you check it out after you listen to our review of Damien Chazelle's musical rom-com La La Land, and the new Pokey Lafarge album Rhumba Country!
As always, we thank you for listening, and hope that you share the cast with your homies!
We apologize for missing a week, but Tori and Dylan took a trip to the motherland, Dylan's home state Michigan. We decided this episode would be about the trip, and the Harry Potter movies. Shout out to Jerri for listening to the audio book with us on the NINE HOUR car ride home, which inspired us to spend the week watching all the movies.
