TRIGGER WARNINGS: bereavement, cancer
Welcome to our podcast, ‘My Ordinary Life’.
In each episode we will be talking to some fascinating people who have one thing in common: they all have a learning disability.
In this episode, we meet Jill.
Jill lives a free and active life. She has found meaning and joy in her involvement with self-advocacy groups and the opportunities they bring.
She enjoys acting, singing, and dancing.
Jill shows a lot of care for other people. She reflects on how she cared for her mum and continues to check in on her elderly neighbours. Helping others is important to her.
She has recently found love and shares with us some details about her relationship.
Some of our guests have speech differences and you may prefer to watch with subtitles on YouTube.
