My Ordinary Life with Ian

TRIGGERWARNING: premature birth

Welcome to our podcast, ‘My Ordinary Life’.

In each episode we will be talking to some fascinating people who have one thing in common: they all have a learning disability.

In this episode, we meet Ian. Ian’s life is full of kindness. He spends his time helping others as a proud uncle, godfather, and self-advocate.

Ian works at Sunderland People First, championing the rights of people with learning disabilities and autistic people.

He loves music, singing in choirs, and playing the keyboard. He is multitalented and uses his skills to help his community.

Ian tells us that it's important to understand and accept everyone, and that we should make the world a place where everyone feels included.

Some of our guests have speech differences and you may prefer to watch with subtitles on YouTube.
