I'm back! My apologies for the extended hiatus, I needed to take some time to finish my semester and get my thoughts in order. A shorter episode to follow up on last episode's thoughts, but hopefully one that sparks some kind of conversation about how we look at ourselves, our efforts, and ways we can grow into the people we want to be.
In this episode, I return from my podcasting break and share some brief thoughts and life updates.
In today's episode, I give a brief life update following my intake interview with a psychologist to begin my autism assessment. I share my experience and the follow up to the interview and my thoughts on assessment in general so far. Note that this episode is a bit shorter than usual and I discuss why during the episode. I reiterate that I am still glad to be undergoing assessment and it is not my intention to dissuade anyone seeking assessment from doing so.
Also: I spent time editing this episode to better match the audio and I believe it sounds better than my previous two. I think that I am getting better at podcasting and I thank my listeners for staying tuned in. Hopefully no one will need to blast the volume on this one to hear what I am saying (and this is also an audio warning if this is you).
In this episode, I discuss accommodations, affordances, and resources for learning more about them. Linked below are the resources mentioned in the episode, give them a look at your leisure.

Happy holidays, stay safe, and stay warm!
Get to know me as I discuss where I am in my autistic journey, how I got my start, and some general thoughts on what it means to be autistic.
Welcome to My Autistic Mind! In the coming weeks, expect to see my pilot episode come out where I will further introduce myself and what I mean by "my autistic journey." All content is of my own creation unless otherwise specified where I will give proper credit to the owner(s) unless they choose to remain anonymous. Once things are more set up, I will happily take topic requests and guest speakers so other perspectives can be shared here. Thank you for listening!
