On this weeks episode muslim-ish discusses media representation. Often times it’s hard to find people like us on the big screens, news, social media, and more. And when we do it is most likely negative. We see it from big corporations such as Netflix, which blatantly continues to negatively represent hijabis. On top of this muslims are often represented as terrorists. So how do we tackle media like this when, Media has become easier to get acess to and spread sterotypes about specific groups of people? How do we even feel about this and advocate for positive rep? Is there even positive representaion now?

In this episode Muslim•Ish talks about the feeling of being alone. Being alone can come in forms of Faith, Family, relationships, society, etc; We emphasize times when we, along with and our listeners have experienced loneliness and the ways we tackled this feeling. We hope this episode reminds you that you are never alone and when you are there is always a way to find someone or something that helps you feel less alone.

As you guys know May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We want to dedicate this episode to talk about how mental health affects us and others. As everyone knows staying healthy physically is important but we often forget to take care of our mentality as well. In this episode, Muslim-ish will open their hearts out to their listeners and express their mental health and ways to keep control even when they are at their lowest. In addition, to methods to combat mental health we hope this episode helps you and remember you’re never alone.
