The album came a couple of years later, after Chad Kroeger’s surgery. It’s their heaviest album to date. Songs were written for this album while Chad was recovering and after his recovery. Some people believe that there is a song on this album that’s written for Chad’s ex-wife, Avril Lavigne.

They recorded the album around the world, as hinted by the album title and cover. The band experimented with new ideas throughout the whole album. There’s rock, funk, pop, Latin-tinged funkathon, and a little bit of country. Has the best motivational song on this album.

Robert “Mutt” Lange produced this album. They have a more distinct signature sound in both their heavy and melodic songs. Even has that country pop feel to a couple of the songs. The album has a dark theme, which is reflected in its title. It covers adult themes, drug abuse, sexual innuendos, hope, and loss.

Their fourth studio album and the last album with Ryan Vikedal. The album wasn’t very successful.
The album that got them to mainstream radio with their hit single “How You Remind Me.” Found their sound with this album.
This is their sophomore album, and they are still trying to figure out who they are. The band also self-released this album before signing with Roadrunner Records. There are two album covers.
The band used six songs from their demo album, Hesher, and included them on this album. Getting into the post-grunge scene. This was a self-released album.
A bonus episode describing my favorite songs by the mother fuckin’ princess. There will be recommendations on what to listen to from the pop-punk princess, such as collaborations, acoustic songs, and studio recordings, which are my honorable mentions.
After recovering from Lyme Disease, Avril Lavigne returned with a powerful album about survival and empowerment. Released five years after her self-titled album.
Going back to her roots with the heaviness on this album. Lavigne is also having fun describing heartbreak and getting her revenge. Even expresses her vulnerable side in a couple of songs as well.
Working with Nickelback’s frontman, Chad Kroeger, on this album. Chad Kroeger co-wrote eight songs on this album. Exploring many genres on this album, singing about relationships, and having fun.
Taking a slower approach with heartbreak and diving deep into vulnerability. Avril Lavigne is showing more of her range, and this album took a while to write because it came from deep within her soul.
Exploring more of her party and preppy side. She wanted to let her fans know she could do more than pop-punk and rock.
It’s one of her very emotional albums with a rock twist. Exploring more of her vulnerable side about heartbreak. Adding more guitars to sadder songs makes the songs sound like her style. It may be my favorite album out of the discography.
Avril Lavigne is setting the stage with her debut album and image, letting the world know she is the real deal at 17, writing from personal experience, and connecting with a wide range of people.
