Movie Squad’s 500th Episode Live at Luna! (Movie Squad Podcast #500)

They’re calling it the cultural event of the century. It’s been described as a cross between Oasis at Knebworth ’96 and an episode of Crossing Over with John Edward. Apparently, you had to be there. And now you can be.

To celebrate the 500th Movie Squad podcast featuring Tristan Fidler and Simon Miraudo, the Blockbuster Babes took over Cinema 5 at Luna Palace Cinemas Leederville on Thursday 7 August with 5,000 of their closest friends for the biggest Movie Squad spectacular ever.

FEATURING

Mark Neal: The godfather of local indie music and Odlaw frontman spent a whole year watching Nic Cage movies. Listen in as Mark is quizzed about his Year in The Cage.

AND

Zoe Pepper: This Perth-born filmmaker is causing a buzz with her upcoming flick BIRTHRIGHT. As the festival circuit beckons, Simon and Tristan help her get Red Carpet Ready.

WITH

Ange Tuffnell: The Bribes and Sooks songstress is not your typical punk. Snap your fingers to her Letterboxd Limericks and see if you can Beat the Babes in Ange’s jaunty guessing game.

AND INTRODUCING

Mia Quartermaine as DJ Sliding Doors: Boorloo’s best (only?) film critic/DJ, and our bandleader for the evening!

If you love Movie Squad and want 500 more episodes, make sure you support RTRFM and subscribe or donate this (and every) Radiothon! Movie Squad Live at Luna proves RTRFM is definitely More Than Radio.

Special thanks to Eddie Curtis for mixing. With appreciation for our wonderful guests Mark Neal, Zoe Pepper, Ange Tuffnell and DJ Sliding Doors. And huge love to Luna Palace Cinemas, supporters of Movie Squad, and Umbrella Entertainment for the giveaways.
