Ani-May month concludes with my sister's mandated movie: Grave of the Fireflies, an anime about a pair of young, sibling war orphans doing what they can to survive in war-ravaged Japan back in 1945. No gravity-defying hairstyles. No giant robots. No tentacle monsters. Just the hilarious misadventures of two innocent children slowly starving to death in squalor and misery.
