Episode 22: Drag Me to Hell (Unrated Director's Cut)
Dave, Devan, Michael and Ryan very briefly take jobs as loan officers at a bank, deny a gypsy an extension on her mortgage and end up getting cursed with blood geysers shooting out of their mouths, bugs getting vomited on their faces, and getting thrown across a room during a séance as they discuss the unrated director's cut version of Sam Raimi's 2009 film "Drag Me to Hell."  The crew examine the many funny, grotesque, Evil Dead-like moments spread throughout the film that make it as humorous as it is horrifying.  They also discuss the solid performances in the movie, particularly Alison Lohman, who does a great job selling the horror-comedy aspects of the film while getting put through the Raimi gauntlet.  Thank you as always for listening!  Stay scared!

Episode 11: The Slumber Party Massacre (1982 Original and 2021 Remake)
Dave, Devan, Michael and Ryan go to Dave's place to have a sleepover, drink lots of beer, have a pillow fight, and get hunted down by a psychopath with a large electric (but definitely not phallic) drill as they discuss "The Slumber Party Massacre," both the 1982 original film and its 2021 remake.  The crew first examine the original film, what they enjoyed about it, and whether or not it succeeded in being effectively creepy despite its low budget and simplistic plot.  They then talk about the 2021 remake and where they think it went wrong in trying to capture the effectiveness of the original film.  We hope you enjoy listening to this discussion of these two Slumber Party films.  Thanks again for your support!  Stay scared!

Dave, Devan, Michael, and Ryan spend the night in a house where everything's reversed, read some harmless occult books, play with an impaled Louvre doll, and get pursued by Nothing while they talk about the 2020 horror thriller, "The Night House," directed by David Bruckner.  The crew discuss what they enjoyed most about the movie, from the acting and the disturbing scenes, to the cinematography and music.  They also examine the ambiguous nature of the film, and how it could be looked at as either a metaphor for depression and grief, a supernatural horror film, or both.  Thank you so much once again for listening and for your continued support!  Sleep tight!
