Have you just assumed that it’s not possible to both be available to your child and also pursue the work that you love?

Do you believe that it’s your job to prevent your child from feeling pain?

Today, we are going to debunk some of the most widely held myths in motherhood- beliefs that ultimately lead to huge amounts of anxiety, depression, and burn out for the women who hold them.

Here are the 12 myths to debunk:

1. Good moms love being with their kids all the time

2. If I wanted a baby and my child is healthy, I should just be grateful

3. Motherhood is just hard and it’s normal to feel burned out.

4. If I just put my head down and plow through, it will get easier

6. If my child is distressed or struggling, it’s my fault

7. I can’t let me child see my struggles

8. It all goes so quickly, I should enjoy every moment

9. I can’t do it all

10. Mothering requires sacrifice of self
