We've all been there; reading a Star Wars book, watching one of the movies, flipping through a comic... you suddenly come upon a silly "Star Wars" name that totally takes you out of the moment LOL!! Whether it's because the name is trying too hard or is so run-of-the-mill that it's too normal, there are some Star Wars names that are so dumb they make us cringe. Now, please understand that there is no real malice in this episode. It's all in the spirit of fun! So, come laugh along with us as we discuss the stupidest names in Star Wars. Don't forget to tell us the names that you think should be on our list!!

(SPOILERS IN THIS EPISODE!) We saw the trailer to "Lego Star Wars: Pieces of the Past" and got SUPER EXCITED when we saw we were getting - at least in *some* form - Sith Obi-Wan/Dark Side Obi-Wan/Evil Obi-Wan. We powered through the episodes of "Pieces of the Past" and waited anxiously for the big debut of Sith Obi-Wan...only to be disappointed by a very brief showing of this darker version of Obi-Wan. James Arnold Taylor (and honestly, ALL the voice actors/actresses) nailed the part, but we wanted more! We'll talk about this and many other aspects of this newly released Lego Star Wars series, with plenty of laughs included!
Luke Skywalker is an interesting blend of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala. Whether it's his desire to help those in need, his impatience, or his will to do what is right even when it's hard, Luke is a reflection of the parents he never knew. Join us for an episode where we gush about this Star Wars OG.
A few years ago we recorded a similar episode about Leia. Listen to it here.

Ahhh yes, fan fiction: where fans with (or without) writing talent come together to create stories about their favorite (or not so favorite) characters from their most cherished fandoms. It's also the butt of many nerd jokes....but MORE importantly, it is a misunderstood and often under-appreciated faction of fandoms all around the world. In this episode we discuss how WE got started reading fan fiction, why we decided to write some stories of our own, and what we wished the world knew about those who write fan fiction. We also discuss our favorite stories out there and what fandoms they are from (spoiler: they're not all Star Wars!)
We've already explored the concept of Gray Jedi, now we've decided to dive into who and what constitutes a Dark Jedi. You might be surprised by who invented the term. We discuss what separates the Dark Jedi from the Sith and explore a few familiar names that could be considered Dark Jedi.

It was our podcast's fourth episode ever where we asked the question: is The Clone Wars a kid's show? We decided to once again revisit this subject, seeing as there are many - and we mean many - moments throughout the show's history where we wonder "is this really a so-called kid's show?" We each pick a scene in The Clone Wars where we discuss the details and heaviness of those moments, and humorously call into question the "kid" aspect of it all. We also give another special Patreon shout-out and read two listener reviews to start the episode to honor those who have followed us on this crazy journey. Thank you to ALL who listen, follow, and support the show!
This is the fourth and final installment of our Geonosis Arc rewatch, and we have to say..."Brain Invaders" is way grosser than we remember!! LOL!! We start off with some announcements about our Patreon revamp and then launch in to the brain invading worms. We chat about some interesting conversations/interactions between Ahsoka and Barriss. We gush about Anakin interrogating Poggle like Darth Vader. We discuss a theory about how these parasites may have impacted Barriss's fall to the dark side. Join us for some slimy fun!

And now on to the third of four installments in the "return to Geonosis" arc within The Clone Wars, where we rewatch worms crawling up noses for the first time in this arc (soon to be followed by even more worms crawling up even more noses in our next episode!) One of our favorite Obi-Wan moments occurs in this episode, and there's even a little nugget of Most Things Kenobi podcast trivia within this episode. (Can you guess what it is? Let us know if you hear it!) This is one of the gems of The Clone Wars, and is one of our favorite episodes to revisit, so please enjoy it with us as we relive amazing moments shared between Obi-Wan, Anakin, Luminara, Cody, and the fabulous Bug Queen underground on Geonosis!
Here is the second part of our Geonosian Arc rewatch of the Clone Wars--"Weapons Factory." In this episode, we analyze the relationship imbalances, the trust issues, and how these elements come into play with each character's ultimate story arc in the Star Wars timeline. We also have a fun announcement at the episode's beginning about some exciting new stuff coming to our Patreon. If you are not a member, please consider joining! We have tiers starting as low as $3/month. Link in the description below.

It's time to go back to the basics, and for us that means Clone Wars! We're launching a new episode block where we rewatch the Geonosian arc from CW season 2, starting with the epic "Landing at Point Rain." We gush about Obi-Wan's bravery, laugh at Anakin and Ahsoka's bickering, and roll our eyes at Ki-Adi-Mundi.

For this episode, we asked our MTK Patrons what Obi-Wan related topic would they like us to cover, and of course they delivered! We received several amazing answers (which we will cover in future episodes), but the one that we decided to cover this week is to discuss (and defend) Obi-Wan's famous line from "Empire Strikes Back", the one that has become rather controversial across the fandom: "from a certain point of view." Was it really an acceptable explanation to give Luke? What had happened if Obi-Wan DID tell Luke, plainly, who his father was early on? Would it have changed the course of what we know today? CAN the line be defended at all? You'll find out what we have to say on the matter in this episode. (A major thanks to all our insanely awesome patrons for their support and for their topic contributions!)

(SPOILERS!!!) This week's set of three episodes were extremely heavy, beautiful, tragic, and so well done, we were once again left in awe of this series. That being said, we do have some questions regarding a few of the writing choices that were made, despite how well delivered it was. You'll hear throughout this recap just how much emotion we felt as these episodes really drove home the harsh reality of the Empire's brutality, delivered it through beautiful filming, and wrapped it all up with one of the show's most poignantly written speeches (a perfect compliment to Luthen's speech in Season 1) which left us in tears. There's a LOT to take in, and a lot to process, and even though we question some of the incongruent moments, we both agree this show has delivered some of the best Star Wars moments on television to date. What awaits us with the final three episodes next week? How will they wrap this up and deliver us directly into "Rogue One"? Meet us back here and we'll experience it together.

Episodes 4-6 in Andor season 2 were very, very pretty 😉 Join us in an in-depth recap where Lauren spazzes our over Cassian going under cover as Varian Skye and LeeAnn cracks up about Syril calling corporate to complain about the ISB. We have a great time digging into the cracks starting to show in Luthen, Cassian and Bix's romantic but strained relationship, Saw's gasoline huffing, and Vel's heartbreakingly powerful monologue. And capes!!! Everyone has glorious capes!!!

(Spoilers in this episode!) The masterpiece is back! Season 2 of "Andor" premiered with three big episodes, setting up the rest of the series and eventually leading us directly into the greatness that is "Rogue One." And WHAT a beginning this was! Our excitement is palpable throughout this episode as we deep dive into the nuances that make this show so. damn. AMAZING. In fact, we dive so deeply, we managed over 1.5 HOURS for this installment of MTK alone. Strap in, folks - "Andor" is back, WE are back to weekly recap (through the end of the series), and we're going all in with every installment of this show until it finishes. Enjoy the extra long episode, because there's more to come!

"You're a bold one!" An episode all about our beloved General Grievous!! We just couldn't resist talking about the cranky, snarky Separatist leader. But we have to confess, we learned some things along the way... like why Grievous hates the Jedi and what parts of him are still organic.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is known across the galaxy by many titles, but none more renowned or unique as "The Negotiator". The way he was able to first observe and think through a situation and then manage that situation with his word was a characteristic he undoubtedly excelled at. We dive into examples from across Star Wars media that contributed to him earning this title, but we also ask the question: were times where his skill for negotiating and being diplomatic was *not* successful? Join us as we observe the observer, and negotiate our own way through our opinions on Obi-Wan's well-earned title.

The ships of Star Wars could easily be some of the most famous icons in the franchise. The first scene ever in "A New Hope" is the Star Destroyer. Then there are the other iconic ships we know and love: the X-Wing, the TIE Fighter, the various Star Fighters, the Millennium Falcon, the Ghost...do we even need to continue? The SHIPS are the stars of Star Wars, and this week we honor just a few of the hundreds that have made their place in our hearts. We plan to do more of these types of episodes in the future, so be sure to answer our question towards the end of the episode!
