Montmartre, including the Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur (Roman Catholic - 1914)
Montmartre is primarily known for its artistic history, the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur on its summit, and as a nightclub district. The other church on the hill, Saint Pierre de Montmartre, built in 1147, was the church of the prestigious Montmartre Abbey.
Montmartre (French pronunciation: [mɔ̃.maʁtʁ]) is a large hill in Paris's 18th arrondissement. It is 130 m (430 ft) high and gives its name to the surrounding district, part of the Right Bank in the northern section of the city.
Near the end of the 19th century and at the beginning of the twentieth, during the Belle Époque, many artists lived in, had studios, or worked in or around Montmartre, including: Vincent van Gogh, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Amedeo Modigliani, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Suzanne Valadon, Piet Mondrian, Pablo Picasso, Camille Pissarro and more.
Montmartre is also the setting for several hit movies.

Stonehenge, London podcast by Morgan Rees (2m-15s - 540p) The perfect length for listening on your mobile Smart device.
Stonehenge is a prehistoric stone circle monument, cemetery, and archaeological site in Wiltshire, England, two miles west of Amesbury. It consists of a ring of standing stones, each around 13 feet (4.0 m) high, seven feet (2.1 m) wide, and weighing around 25 tons. The stones are set within earthworks in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred tumuli (burial mounds).
Archaeologists believe it was constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. The surrounding circular earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest phase of the monument, have been dated to about 3100 BC. Radiocarbon dating suggests that the first bluestones were raised between 2400 and 2200 BC, although they may have been at the site as early as 3000 BC.

Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace and Crown Jewels in Tower of London by Morgan Rees (3m17s)
Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace:
Enjoy a striking display of British pomp and pageantry. Changing the Guard begins on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace at 11:00 sharp following a march by a detachment of the Old Guard, with musical support, from St. James's Palace and the New Guard led by a Regimental Band from Wellington Barracks. The Changing of the Guard ceremony lasts for approximately 45 minutes.
Crown Jewels in Tower of London:
Prepare to be dazzled by this breathtaking, world famous collection of 23,578 gemstones at the Tower of London. Explore 1000 years of history at London’s iconic castle. As the most secure castle in the land, the Tower guarded royal possessions and even the royal family in times of war and rebellion. Kings and Queens locked away their valuables and jewels at the Tower and even today, the Crown Jewels are protected by a troop of soldiers. But for 500 years monarchs also used the Tower as a surprisingly luxurious palace. Tower of London is 58 min (24.7 mi) via M4 from Windsor Castle
