Today’s guest is my friend and inspiration Funmi Adebayo!
Funmi is an entrepreneur, writer, avid solo-traveller, mental health advocate, spoken word poet, public speaker and ex-finance professional. If that sounds like a mouthful, it's because it is! After being diagnosed with Complex PTSD, Funmi left behind a career in finance to embark on a journey solo-cycling unassisted across North America, starting in Toronto and ending in Atlanta and spanning nearly 2000 miles. She runs her own company called Olorun focused on promoting African/Black cultural interests across various industry sectors.
She has been invited to speak at Chatham House, BBC News, BBC Radio 5 live and most recently was a contributor on Channel 4’s “Smuggled”. Alongside this she continues to write as an opinion columnist for The Africa Report and performs spoken word under the moniker of “Being Britgerian (British-Nigerian)”.
Tune in for an awesome conversation about following your creativity and saying yes to adventure!
