Why YouTube pays Africans less money

Making money in YouTube is one of the biggest goals of any YouTuber. Unfortunately for many African YouTubers, because of the low CPM rates, it means that even when you have thousands of views, the Adsense that you get is not as competitive as those in other areas like American YouTubers.


In this video, I highlight some of the factors that lead to a low CPM, why African audiences have little to no advertiser value and how African culture influences the resistance to change and embrace of new forms of media and technology.
