In my quest to find a way to recycle my very old laptop (which wasn't even mine, I was given this laptop by my ex partner), I came across this company which made my task easier.
I was a bit sentimental about this laptop and it is the laptop that I started my podcast Moldovan Abroad on it during the one year motorhome travel (testimony to the fact that you don't need a sophisticated studio or expensive gear if you can't afford it).
But it was time to let it go so a quick search led me to CPR Computer Recycling. This is not an ad, I just liked their services. They do free collection for businesses & schools, as an individual you have to book a courier, but it wasn't expensive and they erase your personal data as well and profits go to charity.
What do you do with your old laptops?

To write or not to write has never been the question…
She wrote her first 26 line poem at age 8, entitled “My Christmas ABCs”. She then memorized it and performed it for the church Christmas party. This wasn’t terribly surprising. She started reading before Kindergarten and Dr. Seuss was one of her favorite authors, so rhyme came very naturally to her. She has been writing all of her life, as long as she can remember. A lot of poetry, short stories and, of course, the usual school reports. she always got high grades on her writing assignments, even when she didn’t in other classes, simply because she loved to write.
Then, adulthood set in. She went into the Army. Always a voracious reader, she still dreamt of writing a novel, but got gloriously side-tracked with a wonderful husband and six amazing children. During that time, she still wrote: Musical plays for her kids at church and school, songs, poetry and even an occasional newspaper article streamed from her pen.
Then, she got involved in jobs that required clear concise writing and a lot of marketing copy. She put up her first website in 1996 and made her living on the internet for over 20 years, writing everything from blog posts to sales copy to scripts for online videos, not to mention copy for the websites she built for her clients.
Then life changed her course. Among other things she lost all the toes on her right foot due to undiscovered diabetes and breast cancer. At that point she found herself in mourning for the loss of all of the things she used to do. One morning she woke up with the thought: "You need to stop focusing on what you can't do and start considering what you can do." So she decided that now was the time to finally pursue her dream of writing a novel.
Two weeks before her 64th birthday she published the first novel in an ongoing series. “The House on Infinity Loop” is the first book in a trilogy that will become just the first part of the 9 book Dimensional Alliance series. As of May 2022 there are 4 books published and a fifth one will debut November 2022.
When she is not writing, she likes to read, crochet hats for the homeless and gifts for friends and family, is active in her church and looks forward to being very involved with the fans of her books.
