Minds on Mushrooms
The Power of Surrender: How Losing It All Became Her Awakening
In this episode of Minds on Mushrooms, I sit down with Robyn, a writer, yogi, and transformation travel and spirit guide whose life once looked perfect on paper: marriage, career, stability. But inside, she felt numb and disconnected. Everything changed when she discovered her husband’s infidelity, losing both her sense of security and identity. Rather than crumble, Robyn turned toward the unknown. She embarked on a solo trip to Thailand, a journey originally planned with her spouse, and from there chose not to return to her old life. That decision became the catalyst for a radical inner awakening. Through yoga, meditation, travel, and deep spiritual exploration, she transformed her grief into empowerment and rebuilt a life aligned with her truth. In this episode, we explore: What it means to feel disconnected even when everything looks fine The impact of betrayal on identity, worth, and trust How travel can become a spiritual crucible for transformation The healing tools Robyn uses to realign and reconnect How she now helps others reclaim their light and begin their own journeys of transformation If you’ve ever felt stuck or like you’re living someone else’s life, this conversation will remind you that endings can become beginnings, and the unknown can hold more possibility than what you left behind. Birthday Magic with Britleigh: Mushrooms, Miracles & Manifestation
This special birthday episode is pure joy, a casual and candid conversation with my dear mushroom-loving friend, Britleigh, about all the incredible ways magic mushrooms have shaped our lives. We dive into manifestation, healing from addiction, leaving unhealthy relationships, and stepping into deeper self-trust. To top it off, Britleigh’s brand-new miracle baby boy, just 4 months old, was with us the entire time, snuggled on top of her and not making a single peep.   This episode feels extra close to my heart, not only because it was filmed on my birthday, but also because it’s the first time I truly open up and share so much of my personal story. It’s fun, funky, and full of gratitude for the medicine.   ✨ If this conversation inspires you, I invite you to check out Bloom, my one-month introduction to microdosing. Mushrooms, Music & the Medicine of Frequency with Eber Rodriguez
In this heart-opening episode of Minds on Mushrooms, I welcome the incredibly talented Eber Rodriguez — a sound healer whose music carries the wisdom of the plants and the heartbeat of the Earth. I had the privilege of working alongside Eber during my psilocybin practitioner training in Costa Rica, where his grounded presence, ancestral wisdom, and transformative soundscapes touched every heart in the room. His ability to weave frequency, breath, and deep reverence for the medicine is nothing short of alchemy, and it’s an honor to share his voice and story with you today. Eber has been walking the path of sacred plant medicine for most of his life, guided by the teachings of indigenous elders and mystical traditions that uncover the light of truth. A multi-instrumentalist and sound healer since 2018, he creates transformative spaces that integrate breath, sound, movement, and community — supporting the nervous system to release old patterns and return to balance. His work is rooted in both ancestral wisdom and the science of consciousness, activating deeper perception and reminding us of our innate connection to the Earth. Together, we explore his journey into sound as medicine, his devotion to mushrooms and other sacred plants, and the way music can open the heart, move emotion, and restore harmony to the mind and body. Whether you are new to sound healing or already immersed in the plant medicine path, this conversation is an invitation to listen more deeply — to yourself, to the Earth, and to the frequencies that connect us all.   Connect with Eber Rodriguez:✨ Website: eberrodriguez.com✨ Instagram: @ignus.music✨🌿 LinkedIn: Eber Rodriguez   Connect with Me:To learn more about my work, upcoming events, and offerings, please visit mindsonmushrooms.com.You can explore my programs here: Work With Me.If something in you feels called to explore this path together, book an alignment call and let’s connect.   #MindsOnMushrooms #SoundHealing #PlantMedicine #MusicAsMedicine #HealingFrequencies #PsychedelicHealing #CeremonialMusic #SacredMushrooms #ConsciousnessExpansion #HeartOpening #InnerJourney #AwakeningConsciousness

Jordan Power Music: Psychedelics, Queer Healing & His New Single
This week on Minds on Mushrooms, I sat down with the unapologetically bold and brilliantly queer Jordan Power. He's been a powerful voice in the podcasting world for years, and now he’s stepping into something even bigger: his musical debut. Jordan’s new music, which has already attracted tens of thousands of followers on Spotify, wasn’t just written. It was received. During a powerful medicine ceremony, he accessed past lives, released stored grief, and unlocked years of repressed emotion. What emerged was more than a voice. It was a deep remembrance of the creative force that had always been within him. In our raw and electric conversation, we explore: – How plant medicine helped him reconnect with his body and feel again – Queerness as a portal to mystical healing and radical self-acceptance – The alchemy of grief, illness, shame, and creative transformation – The law of attraction, meditation, and breathwork for manifestation – Dating in this modern landscape as a mirror for growth – And the power of discovering, honoring, and celebrating your unique gifts If you’ve ever felt like your gifts were buried under shame or silence—this one’s for you. Your gifts aren’t just meant to be discovered. They’re meant to be seen, lived, embodied—and celebrated. Connect with Jordan Power: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jordanjpower/ Music on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/12uvc7Jyw3SUOpFtnKOUkX?si=cxvsCQAyRTmdbDEUHkjFQw Minds on Mushrooms isn’t just a podcast—it’s a portal. A remembering. A place where ancient plant wisdom meets modern healing, and where real stories of transformation are told without shame. Each episode is an invitation to explore the medicine of microdosing, conscious leadership, and expanded self-awareness. Whether you're here out of curiosity, in the midst of a breakthrough, or walking the long road of integration—you belong here. And if something you hear speaks to you, trust that feeling. I’m Maggie Kirkwood—psychedelic integration coach, microdosing mentor, and fellow traveler on the path. I offer 1:1 coaching and guided support for those ready to shift their relationship with alcohol, reconnect with their truth, or simply feel more grounded, clear, and connected. The medicine opens the door—but the real work is integration. You don’t have to do it alone. Book an alignment call or explore more at mindsonmushrooms.com. Microdosing to Manifest: A Nurse Practitioner’s Awakening Through Psilocybin
In this special episode of Minds on Mushrooms, I sit down with Aimee Neumann — a brilliant nurse practitioner, functional medicine expert, Reiki master, and founder of Aligned Integrative Medicine. With a thriving clinical practice and a deep reverence for the body’s innate wisdom, Aimee brings a rare fusion of science and spirit to the psychedelic space. What made this conversation so meaningful is that Aimee also worked with me as a microdosing client — and over the past year, I’ve witnessed her undergo profound personal and professional transformation. The introduction of psilocybin into her life brought nothing short of miracles. Aimee opens up about how microdosing helped her shed victim mentality, confront emotional patterns with courage, and manifest aligned change — in her vocation, her relationships, and her inner world. She speaks candidly about how trusting her body, embracing stillness, and surrendering to the medicine catalyzed a powerful spiritual unfolding. We explore the intersection of medicine and mysticism, the importance of perspective, and why honoring the whole human — mind, body, and spirit — is the future of healing. This episode is a testament to the power of remembering who you are — and letting the medicine guide you home.   Minds On Mushrooms Podcast is available on Apple, Spotify and YouTube.   Learn more about Aimee’s work at www.aimeeneumann.com and her practice, Aligned Integrative Medicine   See Aimee in action on IG: https://www.instagram.com/aimeeneumann_np/   Minds on Mushrooms is a portal for remembrance — of who we are, why we’re here, and what’s possible when we walk with the Earth’s oldest teachers. The Alchemy of Grief & The Art of Integration with Deborah Kadagian
What happens after the psychedelic journey? How do we honor the wisdom, clarity, or lessons that arise — especially when they come through profound pain? In this powerful episode, I sit down with integrative psychotherapist, artist, and author Deborah Kadagian to explore the often overlooked — but essential — process of integration. Deborah shares her deeply personal story of losing her son, Sean, to a tragic fentanyl overdose — a loss that came as a complete shock and did not reflect his lifestyle. In the aftermath of unimaginable grief, Deborah turned to creativity, community, and psychedelics — including psilocybin, ayahuasca, and iboga — to begin transmuting her pain into something meaningful. Together, we explore: • Why integration is everything in psychedelic work • How community and creativity become lifelines in grief • The importance of making space to express the gifts you receive during a psychedelic journey • The reality that grief is not something to "fix" — but something to move with • The promise of plant medicines like iboga in healing opioid addiction This conversation is for anyone navigating loss, exploring psychedelics, or simply wondering how to carry what they've learned in altered states back into their everyday life. Grief, like psychedelics, opens us — and what we do with that opening is where the real work begins. Unlocking the Critical Learning Period: How to Transform Your Mind & Life
Welcome to a new segment of Maggie on Mushrooms! I’m excited to bring you these shorter, focused episodes where we dive into powerful concepts designed to help you on your healing and transformation journey. This segment is all about sharing practical insights and tools that you can immediately apply to your life.   In this video, I dive into a powerful concept that can change your life—The Critical Learning Period. It’s that special window of time when your mind and body are incredibly open to transformation, ready to create new connections, habits, and perspectives. This heightened state of learning is often associated with psychedelics like psilocybin, but it can also be accessed through meditation, breathwork, creative flow states, emotional breakthroughs, and even deep somatic therapy.   Researchers at Johns Hopkins University have been studying how psilocybin can enhance neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to reorganize and create new neural pathways. Their studies show that when psychedelics are used with intention and integration, the brain’s capacity for change and healing is amplified. But here’s the catch: The magic isn’t just in the breakthrough itself; it’s in the integration. It's about turning insight into true embodiment, creating lasting change, and transforming how you show up in the world.   💡 What You’ll Learn:   • What the Critical Learning Period is and how it works.   • Powerful ways to activate this window of transformation (psychedelics, meditation, breathwork, creativity, and more).   • Why integration is EVERYTHING and how to do it effectively.   • How I can help you tap into your Critical Learning Period to create real, sustainable change.   If this speaks to you, trust that feeling. Book an alignment call with me here: https://www.mindsonmushrooms.com/calendly-1 Let’s work together to make your transformation a lasting reality.   ✨ Have you experienced a Critical Learning Period recently? Can Microdosing Help Seniors? Aging & Awakening with Robert Hildreth
In this episode of Minds on Mushrooms, I sit down with Robert Hildreth, a passionate advocate for teaching seniors the skill of microdosing. With years of experience in psychedelic medicine—including ayahuasca, psilocybin, and wachuma ceremonies—Robert brings hard-earned wisdom from his own trials and tribulations with these powerful substances. His journey hasn’t been without challenges. After an unnerving LSD experience where set, setting, and personal circumstances led to an overwhelming and disorienting trip, Robert questioned whether he would ever take psychedelics again. It wasn’t until 2017 that he reapproached psilocybin and LSD with a new perspective, gaining a deeper understanding of preparation, integration, and responsible use. Now, he’s committed to sharing his lessons, helping seniors safely explore microdosing as a tool for clarity, healing, and personal growth. We recorded this conversation fresh off an immersive experience at the Psychedelic Coaching Institute Intensive in Costa Rica—one of the most transformative journeys of our lives. Together, we reflect on what we learned, how psychedelics continue to shape our personal evolution, and why microdosing can be a powerful bridge to well-being at any stage of life. 🔊 Tune in for wisdom, personal revelations, and a conversation that bridges generations through the power of plant medicine. 🎧 Minds On Mushrooms is available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts and Spotify! From Skeptic to Advocate: A Psychedelic Awakening with Karin Calde
Welcome back to another episode of Minds on Mushroom! Today, we sit down with Karin Calde, a licensed psilocybin facilitator from Portland, Oregon as she shares her personal journey into the world of psychedelics.   Beginning with her first guided psilocybin experience during a challenging period of her life, Karin reflects on how the experience helped her rediscover a sense of spiritual connection and self-love. She also discusses the differences between psilocybin and MDMA, noting how each substance contributed to her healing process and deepened her therapy work, especially with Internal Family Systems (IFS).   Karin, a former therapist, realized she needed to undergo her own deep healing before she could truly help others. With an insatiable drive for love and personal growth, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery through psychedelics and alternative therapies. These experiences transformed her, leaving her in a much stronger position to guide and support others on their own healing paths.   If you’re curious about how psychedelics like psilocybin and MDMA can help with emotional healing, self-discovery, or relationship challenges, don’t miss this enlightening episode with Karin Calde.   Connect with Karin here: Web: https://drcalde.com/psilocybin/ IG: https://www.instagram.com/wildwoodfacilitation/   Listen to her podcast: https://apple.co/4dmqxAn   Episode highlights: (0:00) Intro and more about Karin Calde (1:18) Karin’s first experience with psychedelics and Michael Pollan's influence (4:40) Spiritual connection through psilocybin (7:37) Setting intentions in psychedelic experiences (12:45) IFS and how psychedelics facilitated Karin’s deeper therapy work (22:55) Psilocybin and where it comes from (26:13) What a facilitation session look like for Karin (34:51) Where to find more resources about Karin (36:23) Impact of psychedelics on relationships and communication (40:28) Outro
