The Day has come, July 8th was a huge day for Trout, sadly none of his at bats went his way. Mike played 40 games in his 2011 season and went 27/123 with a .220 batting average and 5 home runs and then 2012…. He began his journey.
Little League, Highschool, College? Not for Trout. Getting offered a full ride scholarship is a huge milestone in someone's life but taking the extra step straight to what you were training for your whole life is huge. Trout got drafted in the 2009 MLB Draft with the 25th pick in the 1st round by the Los Angeles Angels, Trout began playing minors at all levels and finally got his MLB Debut on July 8th, 2011 to replace Peter Bourjos.
Mike Trout, born in Vineland, New Jersey growing up with a brother Tyler and a sister Teal, Mike loved watching baseball when he was younger, always cheering on his Philadelphia Phillies, he began playing baseball for Vineland Little League and was a shortstop, Mike wore number 2 in honor of his childhood favorite, Derek Jeter who was an amazing New York Yankees ShortStop.
