Daily Stoic readings and personal reflections no earlier than midnight.
Everyday, I read from a dated page from The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman. I personally reflect on the authors’ reflections, and then ramble on my own thoughts through this podcast. Mema lang. Mema-sabi lang.

Tonight’s mema made me reflect on what I have learned so far about myself, how the pandemic has given me that long space and quiet to reflect, and how I have only scratched the surface of the person I really want to be
In tonight’s mema, I talk about my sleep paralysis experience, and dreaming of hugging my lola who passed last year, and of my cute young self visiting me
Tonight’s mema got me grappling with believing in suffering’s greater purpose, world issues that I don’t know enough but still feel deeply about, personal challenges that I actually wish I did not have to go through, and how to use this new lapel microphone.
Tonight’s mema is brought to you by a conversation with a colleague, wherein I felt validated with my self-awareness efforts. But I also know that I still have a long way to go.
Tonight’s mema made me reflect on Marites culture, social media life, oversharing, and how I realized I was “performing” for others instead of honoring what and who I really am.
Tonight’s mema might be the longest one yet. It’s about all my pandemic thoughts and fears, and how it all looks to me right now, looking back with kinder eyes. With bonus background sounds of a dog schlepping water and my bestie walking in on me while recording.
It’s the start of a new month, and I can’t wait to learn new things about myself. Digging deeper into getting to know me is not always a fun journey, but it definitely is an interesting one.
Finally, I got a chapter I can support 110%. Which leads me to oversharing about a very personal experience, and declaring that there is another person (other than myself) who knows about this podcast.
