S3. Ep 61. Whitney’s Birthday Reflection:35 Things I’ve Learned in 35 years (Part 2)

Whitney hit a big milestone birthday in September 2021. Because she is the amazing and inspirational coach that she is, she is sharing the 35 things she's learned in her 35 years around the sun! We're splitting this conversation into two parts so you get the most of Whitney's story sharing, resources, and inspirations!

35 List (continued from Episode 60)

18. Give thanks for each relationship, even if they end in flames - you learned and needed some aspect of the experience

19. Enter every situation with a beginners mind. Even if it's something you're an expert in. There's always more to learn.

20. Learn how to FEEL your feelings without becoming them. There's a big difference.

21. Know that you'll never have the same conversation twice, everyone in your life is always changing, as are you.

22. Change may feel foreign but it can end up being the most comforting feeling.

23. Even on your darkest days, you're never alone. One of the other 7 billion people on the planet is feeling the same thing you are in their own life.

24. The fears you have are not unique, they can be overcome. They're a guide post of where you're ready to expand next.

25. Learn a different language, it will help you see differently in daily life.

26. Study other religions and beliefs than the one you were raised with, it will show you that all humans are looking for the same comfort and support.

27. Don't be afraid to change mid-stream. Sometimes you have to explore something to realize it's not for you.

28. Push yourself to go further than you thought you could. There's always enough energy for one or two more steps on the path.

29. Find a belief, practice, or place that bring you comfort - use it often.

30. Don't hide what you're truly feeling. You'll regret not being real with someone more than you'll ever regret "losing face"

31. There is no external person, place or thing that will ever fill the hole of love. You must first love yourself and create things you love in your life.

32. If you admire someone, tell them. We all need support and to honor our gifts.

33. Don't ever downplay your talents, someone admires you for them.

34. A genuine conversation will mean more to someone than 'keeping it safe' with small talk.

35. Take the time each day to be present with your surroundings - feel the air, smell what's around you, touch the nearest surface... ground yourself here if only for a moment.
