In this episode we will be talking to Future Doctor Tyler is a first generation non-traditional pre medical student who started off his journey at community college. He completed his Neuroscience degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago Honors College. Tyler applied to medical school this cycle was rejected by 18 out of 19 schools he applied to. He has not heard back from the last school. He struggled with the MCAT and he is planning to retake it as well as reapply to medical school this next cycle. Tyler created his instagram and YouTube to show a realistic side of being a premedical student. He also hopes to motivate and inspire those who are on this journey as well @futuredoctortyler

In this episode I will be interviewing Joe! He is a MD/PHD candidate at UICOM. His research and passions include neuroscience and immunology. He has had a lot of experience working with the NBME and AAMC. For those of you who don’t know, the NBME is the national board of medical examiners and write the USMLE. The AAMC is the Association of American Medical Colleges. They are the ones to write the MCAT! I will be asking Joe about his MD/phd path and his role writing a USMLE STEP 1 review book. In this episode I have the pleasure of interviewing Prerak who is a fourth year medical student at Yale. We are going to be talking about what the residency process looks like, why Prerak is also getting his MBA, and he’s going to share some financial advice with you guys. I have been a longterm subscriber of his youtube @PrerakJuthani. He taught me how to use Anki & honestly I should really go back to his videos because there’s still so much stuff I do not know. He is also the host for his podcast called Red White & Brown where he discusses with his co-host Sofia from episode 17 about the struggles of being first generation immigrants from South Asia in the US.
