This one’s personal.
I’m not handing out advice from a mountaintop—I’m pulling up a chair with you and saying, “Here’s what I did. And here’s what God did with it.”
In this episode, I open up about a season of my life where I prayed for the right man… and then ignored every red flag God sent in response. I overrode His protection, shook off His warnings, and moved forward anyway. And I paid the price.
You’ll hear the real story of how I stepped into a second marriage that looked spiritual on the outside—but was full of lies, confusion, and emotional highs and lows on the inside. I talk about how the devil doesn’t need to know our thoughts—he just needs to hear our words. And when he hears our prayers, he often goes to work sending counterfeits that sound like answers and feel like peace, even when they’re not.
This episode is for the woman who’s been there… or is there right now:
You prayed for something—and now you feel trapped by it.
You see the signs—but you’re not sure what to do with them.
You’re wrestling with shame and wondering how to even talk to God again.
I share how I blamed God for what I walked into, how I wrestled with regret, and how He didn’t respond with punishment—but with grace. Beautiful, soul-freeing grace. He drained the shame and gave me a story. A testimony. A message for someone else to grab hold of before they go down the same path.
I also talk about a truth I learned not long ago:
The devil can’t read your mind—but he hears what you say.
And when he hears you praying for a spouse, a family, or an open door, he doesn’t always back off—sometimes he rushes in with a decoy. And if we’re not grounded, we’ll call that decoy a blessing.
In this episode, I walk through:
Why I ignored the red flags and what it cost me
How charm can cover confusion—and why that’s dangerous
The difference between conviction and compromise
What it means when God says “no” and we say “but I want it”
Why grace is still there, even when we’re the ones who messed up
I also share Scripture that helped bring clarity in the aftermath:
Proverbs 19:21 – “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
Matthew 24:36 – “No one knows the day or hour…” (Because sometimes we don’t get another shot.)
I’ll talk about the recent losses Jason and I have faced, and how grief reminded both of us how little time we have. It pushed me to finally tell this story—and I believe someone listening needs to hear it today.
This isn’t a story about heartbreak.
It’s about surrender.
It’s about learning the hard way… and knowing God still uses that.
So if you’re questioning something right now…
If you’re wondering whether what you’re walking through is really from God…
If you’re feeling the sting of conviction but haven’t known what to do with it…
This one is for you.
Pull up a chair. It’s just you, me, and the Word.
And maybe… just maybe… today is the day you let God wreck your plans—so He can rebuild something better.
