Marriage Stories is a podcast about the riskiest two words a person can say when they love someone, “I Do”. People everywhere around the world have been getting married for the past 4000 years. This ancient institution has inspired some of our greatest art, started and ended wars, and remains a centerpiece of human civilization. And yet, we don’t have a universal formula for wedded bliss, there is not a linear path that a Marriage takes. There are seasons of drudgery, monotony, and even boredom. There are also seasons of joy, the kind that stops you in your tracks as if to say, this, this is what life is all about. Then there is grief, loss, and devastation. The kind that can only come when you love someone enough to risk it all. But ultimately, there is the triumph of two humans deciding to make a marriage work in spite of it all. Every couple has to write their own story and make their own sense of this immense journey. This podcast is all about these stories. Listen in as Marriage Therapist Trevor White sits down with a diverse group of real couples across the lifecycle that are making their marriages work, each in their own unique way. Join us every week as we hear real people talk about Love, Marriage, and the stories that we live to tell.

When a Republican Loves a Democrat with Wes and Jessica
Today’s episode dives into a story that feels especially relevant in our polarized political world. Our guests are a couple who navigate their marriage with differing political beliefs—one is a Democrat, the other a Republican. In a time when singles often filter by political party on dating apps and many wouldn’t consider moving to a “blue” or “red” state, this couple has chosen to bridge their differences within the intimacy of their partnership—and with great success. From the Obama years to today, they’ve found a way to make their differences a strength. How do they navigate conversations about issues that are deeply personal and, at times, divisive? What keeps their bond strong even when their worldviews clash? And how do they maintain respect, empathy, and love in moments of disagreement? Find out today on Marriage Stories! Download, listen, leave a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review, and subscribe! Starting your own Marriage Story? Head over to www.launchtoland.com to learn more about our premarital counseling video series.
